doesnt affect me because I am OTA Only ;)

But for sake of argument if I had DIsh it would be options 1 &3 (CBS is NOT O&O)

I have Houston sat locals and that CBS won't be effected and I have ota Beaumont CBS and they won't be effected, so basically I won't be effected at all.

If CBS shuts off their channels then yes I will lose them. Will it affect me? I will be disappointed to lose some of the shows but won't lose my lunch over it. I would rather Dish stand up to the bullies than cave. Hell CBS should be free anyway...

I selected none, even though I can get OTA and not an O&O. I don't watch CBS, I get the shows I want from the CBS website days after they air.

Im going to miss Showtime more than anything during this feud. I havent seen ANY mention of CBS Sports Network on this fight though... Anyone know if the CBSSN is included in this contract?

I'm not affected by the outage, for CBS, but I will miss Showtime. I'll make up for it by watching twice as much HBO and one of the hundreds of other channels I have. I treat takedowns the same way I do when stations do not renew programming due to viewership. I move on and replace it with something else until it comes back, or never again. TV truly is my luxury, and not a MUST have program, that couldn't be replaced by something elsewhere.
Worse case, all channels go down, I put my nose in a book and try to educate myself further to satisfy my curiosities.

CBS also now has their on-line streaming service of all the current CBS content and live feeds of their CBS O&O's. I think the cost is $5 per month, so that is an option for those who may lose their local CBS O&O.

Owned and Operated. Basically the CBS station is owned by Corp CBS. NYC, CHI, LA are examples of markets that their CBS Stations are owned and operated by CBS.
Interesting! Thank you for educating me! I wonder is we can get a sticky of all acronyms used in this forum, including definitions of what each receiver number is, etc. I know many regulars know these things, but noobs don't. I am betting that some people come to the site, but may not understand what is being discussed and are afraid to ask, so they leave. That would be a shame if so, because there is so much to learn here.

I can pick up via OTA, not a whole lot of cbs programming I watch, maybe one show and while I like football it's been a while since I have sat down and watched a whole game

I am in PR...and we lost CBS (not O&O) but its another dispute with the CBS. Will miss couple of shows but no big deal. Will rather Dish gets a good deal. I will anyway have to pay more next year...but I don't want that the increment to be so big that I have to drop down from AT120 also.

I will not be affected by CBS, not in an O&O market. I am not pleased that Showtime is going away. I expect they will be back sooner rather than later due to NFL football, the demand that will have to be met in those markets, especially where OTA reception is not practical or non existent in those areas.
