Here is something i think is interesting. I left the dish parked at 103 degrees. I am pulling in the ION mux in DVB-s2 ... It's still doing the same thing as the other channels. But, if im tuned enough to pull in a DVB-S2 and the NON dvb-s2 is NO better in terms of the picture coming in/out.
 
Me also now think it has to be the LNBF. If it's close to a regularly timed dropout on a particular satellite or two I'd say radar. But on all, DVB-s & S2, transponders and satellites, no.
A few days from now we should no the results of the swap-out.
 
I'm sure you checked this already and some sats would probably still come in, but, are the cables RG6 or better? RG59 can cause this, but I doubt it'd do it across the board.

Yes, RG6 only. And the cable is 100 foot run from Dish to STB. But, even my test tap at the dish was RG6 and only 6feet long.

I have same problem with some TPs but I figure it's a skew issue with mine. Just haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

About a month ago I'd set up a Slimline dish as an FTA dish and was having a hard time getting it to lock and when it did, it would jump up and down on the Q, drove me nuts for a few days until I finally looked at the cable and saw it was RG59. I'd thought I'd thrown out all the RG59 cables that I had long ago but somehow that one I missed! :eek:
 
Okay - I'm STUMPED. I was skeptical that there was anything wrong with the LNB, but I ran through the gamut of troubleshooting. The new LNB has the same problem.

Okay - I'm open for suggestions... I'm going to spend at least half the day tomorrow dedicated to this dish.
 
FTA4PA's suggestion about terrestrial interference is starting to sound pretty good in view of all the things you've tried.

WiFi interference? Any radar installations near you? ( i.e. weather radar, air traffic control radar, a military base)

Hmmm, I am about 1 1/2 miles line of sight to an airport.. But, I don't believe they have radar.. Too small of an airport.. I am thinking i am going to run string across the dish in multiple points and do some measuring. In terms of interference, would this span all transponders and satellites?!?! Also, my KU works fine.

iBoston, is this the airport near you? http://www.houghtoncounty.org/about-history.php This says they can land up to a Boeing 737 (85 to 215 passenger capacity) and service between 50,000 to 55,000 passengers annually. Might have radar if they can land those there
 
Someone mentioned 3 degree Declanation adjustment for my area. But, if I'm looking at the right chart, I come up with 7 degrees for my latitude of 47.18. So, if im thinking right, since top of arc angle is 35.8 degrees, then the elevation should be set to (35.8+7) and the declination adjustment should be -7 degrees. Yes?
 
What satellite are you trying to aim at first of all? Did you check your connections not just wires? Krbk does that to me I am on the bare minimum dish wise I get 3776 h at about 55 to 60 q with no problems. Check your wire in the back of your reciever your satellite feed could be bad connection. Start off with the simple things first you don't see softballs taking out engines it can be tiny little screw that blows it up.
 
Here are some angles related to setting up a polar mount to track the satellite arc. In the picture the Rotational Axis of Motor is also the rotational axis of the polar mount.
The dish looks out at 90 degrees with no offset.

What are your LNB settings? Lo should be 5150, 22K off. If you have any switches, what type of switch? When you tried the 6' cable outside was it just straight to the C band dish, [no switches or anything in between]?

This one is reaching far out in left field, but I have had it happen myself, so...try unplugging your dish mover so the motor has no power to it and see if the Q stops jumping. Do you have anything really close by the dish with an electric motor running, like a pool pump or something?
