I am in the process of pointing the eastern arc dish (1000.4) and I am confused on one thing.
The instructions state that if your peaking meter does not output 600 mh, to power the lnb on port 1.
I am using the DSF120+ peaking meter (no power output) and keep that on port 2 (72.7)
and connect the reciever (211) to port 1 to power the lnb.

To ensure that I am not hitting the wrong sats, I am going to cover the left and right lnb's so that only the one for 72.7 will be active.

Now for the part am on wondering about, with the DSF120+ on port 2 and aquiring a signal, will the reciever on port 1 be able to tell me if it is sat 72.7 that I am hitting or will the reciever be simply powering the lnb?

When I tried last time, the DSF120+ was getting a signal (on port 2) which then the DSF120 was connected to the reciever which was stating that it could not communicate with the lnb. I take it that this was because everthing was on port 2.
