HR20-700 / Sep. 14 & 15 / {CE:09:04} - 0x19A

You did everything in the right order it appears.
1. Connect HR20 to network
2. Run Network Test
3. Download CE
4. Enable VOD
5. Run network test again (so D* can see that your box is a CE qualified unit)
6. Sit back and relax, occasionally checking to see if Channel 1000 is activated and/or checking your D* account online to see if the For Engineering Only code is on your Recent Activity. You can see if VOD is correctly activated by going to My Playlist and if you see Queue on the left-hand menu, it is all set on your end. But D* does need to add that Engineering code before you can see anything.

What do mean by "Queue" in te my playlist menu? I do not see that in there. All I see is what is recorded on my DVR.
 
no VOD..... been connected to the internet for 3 weeks got every CE and still no DOD charge or engineering charge? can i get some help on this please?

I am in the same boat. It seems those who get it, have gotten it within an hour. Not 12 or more.

I may try to install the national release software before 11:00 tonight, and after 11:00 install the CE release and try the DOD again.

In the "To Do" section of your playlist there would be an entry in the left hand column that says VOD Queue, if that's there VoD is enabled in your box and it's up to D* to enable VoD on your account, reloading the box won't help. Take it from someone that had to wait 3 days back with the initial rollout before my HR20's had VoD.

going back to the national release will it disable DOD in the misc menu?

We are looking at maybe running this tonight but I have no idea about the engineering charge? Can anyone give a little more detail about that? Or a link? I can't find one. Thanks!

There is no charge for doing this, just a notation/entry that needs to be on your account for VoD to be enabled.

You need to read up on the CE process/rules if you haven't already and then if you agree with them http://www.satelliteguys.us/directv...read-first-cutting-edge-risks-guidelines.html. Then during the CE window do a forced download of the 19A software, http://www.satelliteguys.us/directv...w-force-download-cutting-edge-ce-release.html . Then to enable DoD/VoD follow the steps in http://www.satelliteguys.us/directv...6-how-activate-directv-demand-hr20-700-a.html.

Now if you internet connection is working and you've enabled VoD in the HR20 check to see if you have channel 1000 after a few minutes after the reboot, your guide needs to be populated. If it doesn't show up then wait some more, if it still doesn't show up then you're waiting on D* to enable on your account.
 
I have downloaded the CE and I now have VOD. I have a few problems with it.

One is the program guide (not the VOD guide) seems to highlight two shows at once every now and then, the second problem is sometimes I have to try 2-3 times to change the channel from viewing a show from channel 1000 to any other channel, it is like it doesnt want me to change the channel.

i have two hr20-700's it took about anhour for oneofthemandabout two for the other, but i had different vod chan's for each of them, then i reset both today and now i have all on both, every once anda while chan 1000 isn't avail but i can acess all the others, kinda glichy that way.
 
still waiting for D* to activate things on their end...been since around friday at midnight
 
Guy's no one said that D* would be activating anymore VOD set ups.
Me included, I hope they do, but if not, no big deal.
They allowed the VOD to be activated, so you would hope they do activate it, but nothing is known for sure.

So are you able to make it to any Games at the horseshoe?
