Verizon fios in my yard.

The crews are running the cable in my front yard as i type this. I was wondering what the time fram from running the feeder lines down the street. Till the system comes up to order ?

Anywhere from 6-18 months from what have I have read from various forums.

they started laying the fiber in my neighborhood in Feb '07 or so. I was able to order FIOS in early June '07.

"In the yard"? please tell me you mean in the easement and not actually through your yard?

I'm sure he means the easement. Most people look at it as there yard out to the street because thats what there paying taxes on.

Is it the cable, or just the conduit? They laid the conduit in the spring and I was able to order Fios about Sept 11. I got it installed a week later.

I think I was the first in my neighborhood.

Here in North Texas, it took about 3 months before we first started seeing the little orange nets popping up in front yards to when we could order it.

I think it was just that much worse because I loathed Time Warner and was praying for release.
