Ok, I have bitten my tongue until now hoping someone else would ask, but I have to ask now. So, here goes:

What is an HD LIL? You guys throw abbreviations around all the time without bothering every once in a while to fully type it out in the off chance someone doesn't know what it is. Can ya start doing that a little from now on, please? :)

Chances are if you can get LIL broadcasts they will be standard definition and not High Definition.

If this was a statistics class, you'd be wrong.

Even though DirecTV only currently offers HD locals to 61 of the 210 Nielsen DMAs, they represent over 70% of the population of good ol' US America.

I checked my local market through that site and that list is missing 3 channels in my hometown that have been broadcasting full power Digital/HD for at least a year and half.

There's no one there to tell them they're worng.

Wow, this thread has DIED!

Everyone is watching TV. :)

I am hearing these is going to be a slow trickle now of channels.

Coming are NHL HD, a few more RSN's (some being gametime only coverage), and Outdoor Channel 2 HD.

Thats all I am hearing at this moment.

So would this sound like an accurate "prediction" for next Wednesday :)

215 NHL-HD
601-1 NBA-HD (It is already shoing on the 10/15 D* channel guide on the web site)
606-1 Outdoor 2 HD
621 MSG
624 FSN-NY (Quiet down the NY fans - these two have been in purgatory)
656 CSN West (Predicted in the RSN list for 10/17 but didn't show up with the other two)

That's everything that I have read ANYTHING indicating coming soon (end of October).

I think we'll see these six either all Wednesday or over the next two Wednesday's, then the faucet will become a drip if you will.

i would be very happy with that, Sabres and Nhl network

the nba tv hd, outdoor hd and the rsn's mentioned sound very plausible. nhl. i'm not sure....although, i realize a channel number has been identified.

Scott hear anything on NBA HD? Was hoping to have that before the season starts at the end of the month?

Does anyone have a link to the list D put out of channels that includes what will be coming in 2008 after D11 is operational? The one that said with which channels D had agreements in principal?

I would be very happy if CSN-West was added so I could watch my Sacramento Kings in HD, even though they are not going to be worth a darn this year:river
