yea i think they are darma, and are there to save the survivors. they are also there to kill ben.
They said themselves that the rescue is not their primary objective. on another note, What of this Temple? i've started watching the first season again, its been good.
Well, according to the "Find 815" site........
The Christiane was hired by the Maxwell Group which is a division of "Widmore" and he (the only guy we see from Maxwell) is acting very strange and secretive.
They are supposedly searching for the Black Rock slave ship and in the process find Oceanic Flight 815 at the bottom of the ocean. The Black Rock had sailed (albeit in the wrong direction) to get gold to trade for slaves when it got lost.
I don't know if this site is just misleading us or what but I have had some fun playing around and doing some of the tasks to get the clues. And some tasks I have totally given up on. The first clue was Frank Lapidus (the pilot)

All I can say is WOW! What an ending to the episode. When whole thing had me giddy! What a great episode!

That pretty much eliminates Ben from the coffin.
We know Kate, Hurly, Jack and Sayeed are part of the six. Ben is obviously off the island but can't be part of the six. Getting stranger by the episode.

Not for sure, if this flash forward was an early one, before Jack's "meltdown" then it could still be Ben in the coffin.
correct i was thinking the same thing that its ben in the coffin, it could be after he was working with sayid off the island. Does anyone have guesses for who the guy on the boat ben knows? I am thinking its sayid because of how the payload had different time the the watch there is definatly some thing going on where the island operates at a different speed of time then the outside world.
They implied that time passes slower on the island. But, it is unclear how much slower. Also if they can talk to the outside world how do they do that if time is moving at too much of a different rate to matter? Perhaps time moves 10% slower on the island and it would not distort voices too much on the radio. Even then about 9 years on the island would only be 10 off. Of course this is just a plot device, scientific things like how 2 people can talk on a radio with time passing at different rates probably did not cross the writers mind.
I'll bet on this one. I am going for all the flashbacks being near the same time. I'll go for Locke or Micheal in the Coffin. Ben has to much money and connections to end up in essentially a paupers funeral.
Not sure if it would be Walt. When the guy asked Jack if it was a friend or
family, Jack said neither. I think Jack would have said friend.
Maybe it's Sawyer, since Jack asked Kate if she went to the funeral. Kate could be with Ben now, since it appears he is alive and has all this power of
Sayid. Just my wild theory.
Lot's of ideas go through my head, but in the end it's going to be great watching the story unfold.
