KTV and Angel 2 are now available on DISH channels 264 & 266 respectively.
I hope Angel 2 puts together their own program line up (drop CTN), maybe similar to the NRB Network?

Tech support is confused,, still on hold as they transferred me. Ooops , now they DISCONNECTED me :( NOT off to a good start here!

Last they said was I may need a 1000 instead, then they spoke of adding another LNB..........

family 1 , family 2 sounds to me like a custom program guide.

Just taking a shot in the dark but it looks to me like the other stuff is on the account menu and the locals were just added to the Family Pak.

Perhaps not.

Well I'm clueless then since right now I do have Dish Family and see the channels in both places. Well technically all 3 places counting the 9700s.

By all means - keep your dish that is aimed at 61.5. You know it works - just have them add the Dish 500 at 110/119.

copied Scott's post from the Dish forum to here

so KTV is on DishFamily and to pretty much EVERYONE who has a sub on Dish :)

How do I hook in the 61.5

I was on Sky Angel but put up a new Dish 500 dish and switched to Dish Network Family Pack. I still have my old dish pointed to 61.5. Can I hook my old dish into my receiver along with my new dish 500 someway so I can view all three satellites?

Right now, I can view all three satellites on one receiver. I am using a DP34
multiswitch. I'm pretty sure that if you run a search on this site, you can find something about setting it up.

sure. Depends on LNB types. If they are DP types you can use a DP34 switch. If your Dish 500 has a dish pro plus LNB and your 61.5 is DP you can just cable your 61.5 to 110/119 rerun check switch and away you go. IF you have a mix of legacy LNB and DP you will need to change. If all legacy you will need to update or get a SW42 or something like that or a SW21 or..........

My Dish 500 is connected to a SW-21 multi switch to integrate the 61.5 antenna.

I see...well...I thought it would be easy. The guy I bought the Dish 500 dish from said it was a Legacy with a built in switch. It's got an A & B cable connector which I assume is for two receivers (I only have one). My other dish that I was using for Sky Angel is an old Direct TV dish (so old that the Direct TV logo is almost completely faded out). Can I assume that it's a Legacy LNB? If that's the case I could just buy a switch and hook everything together? I'm not a FTA'r so I'm also wondering how it will work since there won't be the Dish Network program guide...

The Direct TV dish & LNB should work just fine. Sounds to me like you just need the $10 (give or take) SW-21. If you go to eBay and use "buy it now" from someone with a lot of quick shipper feedback comments it's possible that you'd have it by Mon or Tue. I suppose a Dish retailer that does installs might have one for slightly more money. I've never seen them at Radio Shack but they could have it also.

Just be sure to NOT get an SW-22 or any 22k switch as this is for Direct TV. It won't work.

Yup, Scroll is right. Your legacy twin LNB has an internal SW-21 switch, so your receiver can select which LNB inside the housing it wants. To add your 61.5 dish, you need another (external) SW-21. Your receiver can handle cascaded SW-21's.

You could also add a 2nd receiver with another SW-21, at the expense of an extra receiver fee. Or you could get a dual-tuner receiver and a 2nd SW-21 and control two TVs independently without an extra receiver fee.
