I'm grateful for at least one HD channel addition... don't get me wrong... but I'd rather just "imagine" CNNHD and have one of the other handful of HD channels we have been waiting for........

Now that TUF has started back up I would like to see SPIKE-HD.
I love Sci-Fi; USA, not so much.
SPIKE-HD would be great for all the UFC stuff but all the Amazing Video (robberies, car wrecks, etc) footage shows wouldn't really be helped. But it has to be the cheapest of the possible new HD channels out there for Cheapskate Charlie.

I wonder how many different "one word" descriptions we could come up with about Dish and the lack of HD Channel additions...

Don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth but I feel like I am looking at it's a$$! This has really been pathetic, if it wasn't for the dual output feature of the 622/722 we would be watching Direct!
I was kind of hoping for the same thing... I love the MMA and TUF... but I went with the HD Only Pack, and so I gave up on the idea of being able to watch it this season... I guess I figured "SOON" didn't mean it would be up before the Finale.
I think a new national HD this week is good. Don't understand the pessimism in here. We haven't had a new channel in how long???
Everything I read points to them having a bunch of stuff starting in April. If I had to guess, we will see at least one new channel each week for the next month or so. Maybe this is just the start of things to come. Charlie will need at least HALF of his announced HD by the next Charlie Chat.
oh.. and for the record, I want CNN HD about as much as I want SciFi HD or WFN HD or Tennis HD... but something is better then nothing.

I think Charlie just threw CNN HD aka the "smallest HD bone" he could find to quell the masses....I cant wait to see the "press release" for this channel.
What about ESPN News HD? Direct had it on from Day 1.

On pirate sites they say they have been watching sci-fi hd for almost 2 weeks.
Let us people that actually pay for service get the channels we want.
It just sucks that pirates will be able to watch BSG in HD and I can't for another week.

While I appreciate the fact that we got *some* national HD today I'm rather disappointed with the choice. Lets face it, E* really does have limited bandwidth, and this is the best they could come up with? I can think of at least 10 other HD channels that were on their "coming soon" slide show that I would have rather seen.
True, however, couldn't you just change the "April" and add any of the previous months in there? It seems like we "hear" it's coming finally... soon.. maybe next week....but then the next week's uplink keeps getting stretched to the next week .. and then to next week again.
I've been pretty patient for the previous months... and I will continue to be patient.. but it really isn't easy to be patient right now.
Sweet, CNN-HD, i watch CNN about as much as i watch my HD Locals!!! Damn dish network and their stupid 61.5 satellite
Scott or Digi, do you think it will ever be POSSIBLE and/or LIKELY that they would mirror the HD Locals to 129/119/110 (where most of michigan is getting their channels from originally)? Please let me down lightly....
Also, does anyone know if DirectTV is broadcasting Saginaw/Flint MI locals in HD?
