That is what you got this week if you have the HD Only pack and live in a Big 10 State.

17 "HD" channels added
15 HD Voom channels removed
Big 10 Network HD removed

That is a realistic gain of one HD channel. Not to mention the real amount of HD programming lost from 16 real 24/7 HD channels being dropped and 17 "HD" channels added that show a very small amount of HD combined. Thanks Dish. Can't wait to see what disappears next week.

And that one channel is the Fishing Channel!!! :D
(Sorry, couldn't resist!)

Nothing like rubbing salt into the wound! I think Dish better add a few more good HD channels real "SOON".

"The sky is falling!!!!!!"

Wait a second, I have DishHD (HD only), live in Ohio (a Big Ten State), & I am sitting here watching track and field on Big Ten Network HD as I type this post. ;)

* On a side note* prior to adding the more "mass appeal" HD channels starting with USA and Sci-Fi in HD there were countless posts BASHING VOOM to no end. People threatening to leave E* because VOOM sucked and they wanted other channels ASAP. Now they are gone - people act like they can no longer live without having the VOOM networks. Amazing, I am certain that some people wouldn't be happy if Charlie showed up at their front door and handed them a fist full of cash; it wouldn't be enough, quick enough, or the right sequence of bills.

Ever consider the other half that liked Voom are complaining now? I don't see any defenders flip-flopping, do you? It's pretty evident there is a 50/50 split here.

I guess the "other half" that liked VOOM must have had broken keyboards up until this week. :D

I say wait and see, especially with the lawsuit issue between Dish and VOOM. Things may change several times before we know it.

Wrong. Big 10 was available in the Big 10 states on the HD Only pack until sometime yesterday. They also just removed it from the website:

DISH Network -- Dish HD

This also stinks...Luckily here in Omaha we got the B10 Network (to watch my Hawks), because the metro area is partially in Iowa. Now, I will be inundated even more with irritating Husker B.S. Boooooo! :D

That's because we had Voom up until yesterday...No need to defend something that seemed somewhat secure at the time. ;)

I'm sorry guys, but I watched some Voom programming and I still think this was for the best.

I also think better things are around the corner.

Glad to see a few of us still have a glass that is half-full. :up

Back to the issue at hand of the Big Ten Network HD, it seems hit or miss as far as subs/SG members that still have it. Like I said - I just switched to HD only, live about 100 miles from Ohio State, and I still have BTN HD.

HD Ultimate subscribers were the ones that really got screwed. I'm willing to bet MOST HD Only people are happy about the change. HD Ultimate simply gets less OVERALL programming for their money...period.

And I vow to stop bring this up everywhere "soon" :D

Bad package?

How about the $10 Alaska pack:
UNI HDNMV HDNET NFL ESPN2 ESPN TNT HDTHR

with USA and SciFi still taunting us in red with no activation.

I downgraded to essentials when E* started offering it...I haven't regretted it for one minute and, I'm saving 10 bucks a month too.

I hate we lost VOOM. I want them back as much or more than most.

But has anyone checked out the Travel Channel??
Very, very nice. Love the beach stuff in hd.;)

Not to mention MGM, at least there is a variety on there. I have to admit though, I am kind of partial, because I finally got my CNBC.
