Hey everyone,

I have a WRT54GL wireless router. I have been using the wireless connection for the year I have had the router with my old laptop. We just bought a used Dell C640 laptop and we can't connect to the router.

The error I receive is "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range."

The new laptop sees the network, but when you try to connect that is the error you get. It never prompts for the WPA2 key.

I know the wireless is working because the other laptop still works.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks

C640 is most probably b... The new laptop most probably g...
What type wireless runs your WRT? b? g? both?
Make sure it's both.

Diogen.

Just figured it out. The laptop is B. Could not connect to a WPA/WPA2 encrypted network. Had to step it back to WEP 128 bit.

Thanks for the reply.

Flip a .MOV 90 degrees?

XP Problem, any suggestions?
