L510 Bugs

All my timers are still listed
The Schedule shows no timers scheduled to record
This happened after a reboot this afternoon when the 722 locked up

That's not a new flaw with this version. My 622 had a couple of incidents under the previous version where timers wouldn't be applied for the first night or so after a reboot. It seemed as if all the guide data wasn't being downloaded in time, because some channels would take all night to get guide data for more than an hour ahead of the current program.

I've never had a lockup though. The reboots were because it dropped some of my channels (once locals, once premiums) for no reason.

A late note: the L511 was downloaded to my 722 last night, 3:00. I never got the L510, except as a prelude to loading the L511. No problems yet.

Regards, Fitzie

Received 511 last night, also. I played back a little of a show that I recorded last week. Everything appears to be working normally with the playback of HD Locals. I didn't watch the whole program, though.

NR, you should be one of that gamma ppl, before regular public will get new version.
The Dish current handling the process is way out from normal. :(

I agree. This lack of proper testing needs to end, there is no excuse for releasing software with obvious bugs like this. Dish needs to implement a CE program like D* NOW!

i tested that fear itself for like 2 mins at the beginning and seemed ok yet it was a mess last night when i went to watch it
hoping fixing this didn't break something else :)

I watched an hour long program I had recorded off NBC. It was unwatchable before the update, it plays fine now.

722 L5.11 problems:

If I Fast Forward/Rewind, especially at 300X but even at slower speeds, the time bar will often freeze. When you pause/play, it possibly goes back the stated time, which may be tens of minutes from what you were seeing. Similarly, trying to zero in on part of a recording is difficult because it jumps away from where you were viewing. Please synchronize the banner with the viewed.

In changing a Dish Pass timer option, I ended up with an empty list but it said 11 events. Sure enough when I backed out and went in again they were there.

I would also like to not have HDNet regular/movies listed in the 5xxx with the notation of blacked out. I would use the specific channel but I also wanted to pick up some from other networks and I often have a full 96 set of timers. I prefer not to use locks. BTW, it will say the 942x channel is a duplicate of the listed-first, blacked-out 5xxx and not record either.

Edit, BTW, did you notice the satellite number in the description of the recordings on the external. I've seen 110 and 61.5. Why is this info not of the main drive, too? Although most of my channels are from 129 and 119? Now to add transponder?

Not sure if it's a 511 bug but....

I went to check my theater 622 this evening to see if it had 511. It does... and it's stuck in "acquiring Sat signal" It cycles between 119 and 61.5.... Progress 1 ,2, 3, never finishes, just keeps on going like the energizer bunny. We haven't watched TV for a few days. Probably been stuck like that since it got the update.

Did a soft reboot. Same thing

Unplugged it for 5 minutes.... same thing

Did a check switch.... same thing

unplugged it and came here to see if anyone else is having this problem.

Going to bed... will play with it tomorrow. Will unplug the sat feeds and clear the switch matrix in the morning and see if that plus a good long cool down will do the trick.

Coincidence that it gets a new software DL and is hosed at the same time? I think not.

The 622 in the Bedroom is still on 449 and working fine.

OK plugged back in....

Took off sat inputs did check switch to clear matrix.

unplugged & reconnected sat inputs... did check switch = All OK

done cancel cancel cancel.... still stuck on acquiring Sat signal as previously described.

One more thing to try. Removing separator and running dual coax from switch to receiver....

Any ideas other than the obvious.... Call & get replacement.

Reset to factory default?

Reset to factory default followed by a check switch seems to have done something.

DL guide data now....... OK seems back to normal.... Got to add my OTA ch back & redo my fav lists etc.

Added OTA, fixed one fav list, did a check switch to DL guide data for OTA....

Back to Acquiring sat signal loop. Must be OTA screwing it up????
