Did we almost lose HDNet & HDNet Movies?

It seems the only the Customer is paying for this. Everytime. I'll gladly pay $10 extra per month If they added back everything they dropped in the last year and a half.

It didn't happen so what the B?

If it had happen then we would have reason to bitch. It didn't so why are you bitchin anyway? If it had I probably would have seriously gone to D* even though I like the 622/722's better and would have to pay extra to get 2 HD DVR's.

+1. Hemi, calm down.;)

I am with you Hemi I signed a contract and HNMV is the only thing I like since Voom is gone if that goes lol who knows, I definately am a little worried.

I find it hard to believe that Dish isn't making a huge profit margin on the HD Platinum package, which includes HDNMV. So I believe that these contract negotiation impasses are a matter of how much profit Charlie makes and not how much your monthly rate might rise with a new contract.

Same was true of the original HDPak. $10/month for 5 channels. Margin had to be greater than 50%. Then the increase to $15 and $20 for a slightly larger HD package with VOOM. Another huge profit margin for years. It wasn't until DirecTV brought out a huge HD package for a reasonable monthly cost that Dish created Dish Essentials. This is all about profit and dollars in Charlie's account, not protecting the subscriber.

Amen.

We're freaking out about things that DIDN'T happen now?

If you are going to be angry and frightened about things that did not happen, you should pick things of a little more importance:

- British crushing colonist revolt in 1776

- Nazi takeover of the world in 1945

- World War III in October 1962

Just got word from a spokesperson at HDNet that an agreement for continued coverage of the HDNet channel on Dish Network has been reached.

Man imagine if I wasnt sick this weekend and would have posted the alert news when I got it... imagine the complaints then. :)

Good news, bad news I can only report what I am hearing.

Wait till VS and Golf channel HD split in 3 months Charlie will be screaming new 2 new HD channels added when in reality it's only going to be 1.

Well I am glad they worked it out, I cant lose those two channels the movies are great and great picture.
