Looking at todays new of HDnet channels being added to Comcast, Cuban probably could of lived without E* has he would of lost around 7-10 million HD subs (est.), and now picks up 20-30million HD subs(est).
Your guestimates of actual HD subs, taking into account package tiers, are way high.

What, would you guys rather than Dish freely paid whatever the content providers ask? No way they could offer the great bargain that is the HD-only pkg then.

I suspect he is paying what certain providers ask. Probably ESPN and Disney, both of whom I wouldn't miss plus I would welcome the substantial reduction in my bill if he would un-bundle them.

Comcast is picking up HDNet? Cuban has been trying for that for years. His guy running HDNet told us about their disappointmennt in not being on Comcast during a tour of HDNet facilities 2-1/2 years ago.

How come this story didn't make the front page on SatelliteGuys?

I think that the guys who complain about Charlie negotiating with channels, are the same guys who make the car salesman's eyes light up with joy:

How about this fine vehicle over here - only marked up $5,000 over the sticker price.

I guess that's okay, sure.
