Annoyed with wating for new HD

you sound like you were one of them . while I agree that complacency kills a company and everything else with it, it's too soon to say this about D. If it happens i'll be the first to bitch about it because it's the truth. But again i really can't say that right now.

No one has honestly. They, IMHO were the reason we see so many channels added to all of the others so quickly over the past year. Would they have been added anyway? Sure, but whats the rush if no one else has them?

That said, it is slow these days, but thats hardly specific to D*.

How so? Have they done almost as much (fios specific to certian areas only), maybe. It would be hard to make a convincing case that they have done more though. He didnt say a few months, he said year or so

Yea I know, Thats what made this all the more funny. They both Piss me off equal from time to time. Thats why I recommended switching to a company that suits your needs. Just always have a plain out of it.

E and Fios? come on!! I also have E for ten years now and i can tell you you're full of it. E ha! that's hilarious . E is doing more than anyone else? funny. Fios doesn't count until they can cover more ground. I can't get Fios here. How is it they're doing more when they can't even reach everyone? Go to Fios then. Why are you still with D?

I'm in total agreement, But I've not seen any press release in the last 2 years about D* adding any NEW premiums to their lineup. They were just going to ADD HD to the HBO's and Cinemaxes they have now. Which is exactly why I picked E* Because they have more premium channels to begin with. ,
Why D* hasn't added their HBO and Cinemaxs HD? , I don't have a clue. Things happen, But they are still adding locals , Which is much Better IMO then Premiums.

If I just wanted to get the premium channels, I could get them all in SD with my cable company Bright House. I subscribed to DirecTV because they had way more premiums in HD. Yes, they are missing some, but they have all those Starz in HD and I was under the impression that they were going to at least make all the existing premiums in HD (especially HBO/Max). I realize that adding ones they don't carry now would be gravy, such as HBO Zone, Comedy, Action Max, @ Max, etc.

Hard? In one year E* has caught up to D and fios has passed it. They have added lots more channels the D this year

E* had a few good launches in the past year, But they also dropped quite a few in the past year as well. Currently E* just has the better overall programming for my needs. But if I was told E* went bankrupt and E* service crocked , I wouldn't be that heartbroken. D* is more then fine IMO.

exactly my point! Your reasons are why i'm dropping them any day now.

D* will add all of those premiums, They almost have too. When Who knows, Next year would be fine by me. Your current HBO and Cinemaxes will go HD on D* by the END of December for sure. No doubt in my mind

Travel Channel HD is the only channel, I can't understand why they don't have it yet. But the rest???? What are we really missing? Fox News HD . Thats nice , But we have CNN HD. I agree I like Fox news better , but no its not killing me not having it in HD. Its not like we don't get the channel at all.

I can't explain it well. Not having Fox News HD is like having an itch you just can't scratch. It just bothers you and you can't fix it.

Many of us find the Superbowl important. Personally, I only cared when my team made it and won, The Buccaneers. Can you football fanatics imagine watching the Superbowl in SD this day in age?

The election coverage is very important to me and may others. I realize I can get HD coverage on CNN, but that isn't what I want. I want the commentary and pundits and presentation offered by Fox News. I look forward to election night coverage the same way many of you look at the Superbowl or World Series. I want it in the best presentation possible. Fox News HD is what I want on election night.

After the election, I'll go back to watching more Fox Business HD, and a little less Fox News. But I'll still watch both on a daily basis. So I want them both in HD. I don't think I am asking for too much wanting Fox News HD, the #1 cable news channel. I want it in HD. No big deal to want this, is it?

Yes, the whole body of work shows E* doing the most this year. Combining all the channels added. That's of course doing it the way most corporations show their channels, added not subtracted...
