NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Washington St only wishes they were as good as Washington. The Cougs have allowed over 60 points 3 times this year and they may make it a 4th this week when they play USC. As bad as Washington is this year I'd still make them 10 point favorites over Washington St.

I personally thought they could also be winless.

DAMN YOU, PORTLAND STATE!!

I wanted a winless 'Apple Cup!'

LOL. You guys are finally starting to see the light.

I realize the spread offense requires your own personnel to run properly, but why can't R-Rod mix in some other offensive plays to complement the players he has now, then slowly work on moving towards his coveted scheme?
I agree! They don't have the key personnel to run the spread, but Coach Rod keeps trying to fit the square peg into the round hole. Just like the wide-eyed deer caught in headlights, I don't think Coach Rod has what it takes to complete at this level. Unfortunately, I see the team losing 5 of their next 6 (3-9), and Coach Rod getting canned.

Can Rod after one year? You do realize that you've got to give him time to recruit his own players? Wait until the heap of waste from the Lloyd Carr era is gone. What coach would want to come to Michigan next if you fire the coach after one year?

How ugly could the Michigan/Penn State gameb get?

We are looking at a potential bludgeoning of epic proportions.
Any Michigan loss is ugly in my option. Penn State looks great this season and I have seen nothing to indicate they won't beat Michigan by 20 or more points. I don't think the game will get too out of hand because Michigan does have some decent players who remember beating Penn State and Joe Pa is a pretty classy guy.

That sucks! Tate was the NCAA record holder in return yards. He was someone who definitely would be playing on Sundays. Now all that's in jeopardy. And he didn't even get hit hard. Just one of those fluke things.

Sorry about your lose anders, the few NC games I have had a chance to see, it looked like he was the stud ...
What year is he ?

Rod 's no going anywhere, it's NOT the Michigan way ....

You got to give him at least a year , he doesn't even have any of his own recruits yet ...., maybe a few, but when he missed out on Pryor everything went down the drain.
I think if Pryor was there it would be entirely different, and you all would be happy with Coach Rod.

Jimbo

Too bad, at least you can watch him in the NFL next year if the injuries aren't as bad as originally thought, otherwise someone may take him in the late rounds and be very happy a year from now :)

Jimbo
Unfortunately he tore both his ACL and MCL and he won't be recovered before the draft so my guess is that NFL teams will take a pass. Besides an injury like that can ruin what was his best asset, speed.

Could Brandon Tate be another version of Devin Hester/Josh Cribbs?
He could have been. You should have seen how scared opposing teams were to kick the ball to him. They'd rather pooch kick it and give us the ball at the 40.

Oh well. We're playing with a 3rd string QB and a RB who was a backup safety last year so what else is new? At least we're winning.

anders, fill in this blank:

The North Carolina Tar Heels will play in the (blank) Bowl.
I'd like to say Orange Bowl, but that's a longshot. Maybe next year. Realistically I'd say Chick-Fil-A Bowl, and I hate that name. Why can't they just go back to calling it the Peach Bowl?

You have to give RichRod a pass his first year. Heck, Saban lost to Louisiana-Monroe his first year at Alabama and UAB his first year at LSU. Can get much lower than that. :)

All true, Jimbo. Like I said before the biggest problem at MICHIGAN is the lack of experience on offense, especially the line. If this doesn't turn around significantly next season, then Rodriguez may be in trouble. He will get at least another season.
