Extremely Early NFL Flex Schedule Guesses

sorry, my bad. NYJ-TEN is on the protected list also. Look at the list above.

We're a couple of weeks away from the "flex" portion of the NFL schedule.

This is how I see see it shaking out at this time:

WEEK 11 PROTECTED: SD-PIT (CBS) and CHI-GB (FOX)
WEEK 11 SNF SCHEDULED: Dallas at Washington..... No question that this one stays.

WEEK 12 PROTECTED: NYJ-TEN (CBS) and NYG-ARZ (FOX)
WEEK 12 SNF SCHEDULED: Indianapolis at San Diego....At the beginning of the year, this game looked untouchable, but that's not the case any longer.
WEEK 12 POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS: PHI-BAL, CAR-ATL, or NE-MIA
PREDICTION: NBC sticks with IND-SD, only because of lack of an obvious replacement.

WEEK 13 PROTECTED: PIT-NE (CBS) and NYG-WSH (FOX)
WEEK 13 SNF SCHEDULED: Chicago at Minnesota.....This one is in danger of getting the boot
WEEK 13 POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS: DEN-NYJ, CAR-GB, IND-CLE, NO-TB
PREDICTION: DEN-NYJ replaces CHI-MIN

WEEK 14 PROTECTED: JAX-CHI (CBS) and DAL-PIT (FOX)
WEEK 14 SNF SCHEDULED: New England at Seattle........Bye-Bye
WEEK 14 POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS: PHI-NYG
PREDICTION: No doubt..........PHI-NYG replaces NE-SEA

WEEK 15 PROTECTED: NONE
WEEK 15 SNF SCHEDULED: NY Giants at Dallas....No-Brainer, this game stays put.

WEEK 16 PROTECTED: PIT-TEN (CBS) and PHI-WSH (FOX)
WEEK 16 SCHEDULED: San Diego at Tampa Bay........ 50/50 chance of staying
WEEK 16 POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS: CAR-NYG (but ONLY if NBC doesn't choose PHI-NYG in week 14, because that would put the Giants over the limit of six primetime games), ARZ-NE or BUF-DEN
PREDICTION: SD-TB gets replaced by either ARZ-NE or BUF-DEN

WEEK 17 PROTECTED: NONE
WEEK 17 SNF SCHEDULED: NONE
WEEK 17 POSSIBILITIES: DAL-PHI, NE-BUF, CLE-PIT, TEN-IND, DEN-SD and CAR-NO
PREDICTION: DAL-PHI

Dallas/Washington confirmed to stay in the 8:15 slot

Tennessee/Jacksonville gets moved to 4:15 for the CBS late game that week

WEEK 12 PROTECTED: NYJ-TEN (CBS) and NYG-ARZ (FOX)
WEEK 12 SNF SCHEDULED: Indianapolis at San Diego....At the beginning of the year, this game looked untouchable, but that's not the case any longer.
WEEK 12 POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS: PHI-BAL, CAR-ATL, or NE-MIA
PREDICTION: NBC sticks with IND-SD, only because of lack of an obvious replacement.

With Indy and San Diego both winning today, I don't think there's any doubt that NBC keeps that game. NBC has until Tuesday afternoon to decide.

Go with Carolina/Atlanta!

Both teams have better records and this would showcase Matt Ryan and Turner the Burner.

I'm getting tired of seeing Peyton in primetime all the time. He's already been on twice!

If all these teams win next week, here's what would happen:

7-3 Atlanta vs. 8-2 Carolina

6-4 Indianapolis vs. 5-5 San Diego

NBC, go with Panthers/Falcons!

Sabres,
I'm with you on this, but this is what I THINK will happen not necessarily what I WANT to happen.

I'm a little surprised. I thought you'd want to see something different.

I want to see something fresh and new.

IMO, Sunday Night Football usually relies on the Colts, Cowboys, Patriots, Eagles, Giants, and Steelers.

Carolina and Atlanta have a better record than the overrated Colts and Cowboys.

I think you misunderstood my post.........I DO WANT to see something fresh and new, but I don't THINK it will happen.

Sorry. I did misunderstand what you said.

Let's hope NBC makes the right decision!

Hey, what's with the different avatars, Bill and Sabres?

As far as flexing, Bill I disagree with you on Chicago/Minnesota being replaced by Den/Jets. I think Carolina/Green Bay might replace Chicago/Minnesota just because it might have better interest. I'm projecting the Jets will be 6-5 and Denver 7-4. G.B. could be 6-5 and I'm giving that to them, and Car. could be 9-2. I just think it would be better. I'm probably a little bias because I'm a Giants fan and I get sick of seeing the Jets all the time. I agree with Bill, let's bring some fresh and new teams. I mean if they show the Jets we will get 3 hrs. of Favre.

BTW, do you think the NFL could flex the Thanksgiving games. They look terrible. Ten./Det. and Sea./Dal. I'll put it this way if it wasn't Thanksgiving, I probably wouldn't watch it.

I'd rather see him and Cutler in a mano-a-mano QB shootout than old-man Gus Frerotte and the inconsistent Rex Grossman.

Thankfully, the NFL Network's game looks good- Arizona vs. Philadelphia.

Mets,

I think you may be right. Carolina-Green Bay looks like a better choice than Denver-Jets, but then again NBC may stick with Chicago-Minnesota.

Obviously, what happens in next weeks games will go a long way in which game NBC will choose a week from Tuesday.

Green Bay HAS to win next week- I don't think NBC would want to show a team two games below .500 on primetime.

I'm leaning towards Panthers/Falcons- both have a better record than the Bolts, and how many times do I have to see Peyton Manning on NBC?

That's what I'm saying about the Jets. I like to see fresh matchups. Like I said, they can't flex Ariz./Phil. instead of Chicago/Minnesota. I mean if they flex Chic./Minn., how about Thanksgiving night's Ariz./Phil.? I know, it's a joke and I'm kidding but I'm just saying. What dog games for Detroit and Dallas? I feel bad for the Lions fan on this thread and Lions fans in general. I mean in the early, middle 90s growing up watching the Lions on Thanksgiving was cool. The Lions played in the Silverdome and the Lions were half way desent. Now, is there anything positive about the Lions?

Yeah. The season's almost over.

Nice decision, NFL!

Instead of Favre vs. Cutler, I'm stuck with Orton and Frerotte?

I hope Jets/Broncos is a great game and Bears/Vikings is a borefest so the NFL learns from its decision.

When will the NFL realize that NOBODY cares about the Chicago Bears anymore? They are no longer must-see!

Sandra and HD MM could do a better job flex scheduling than the NFL does!

I don't care if Madden goes on and on about Favre- the game would be more ENTERTAINING.

FURY in Anaheim!
