Lions coach Rod Marinelli FIRED!!!

Vince Lombardi couldn't have won with Cleo Lemon, John Beck and Trent Green at QB. As it was, they lost four games by 3 points or less.
it wasn't only that md. it was also the major lack of discipline. They always found a way to lose under cameron. made many, many dumb mistakes on both sides of the ball. that's mostly bad coaching. I respect what you're saying though.

Just one that I know of - Dick Jauron. He was named as 'interim' Lions HC in 2005 - the team was 1-4 under him. He was offered the Bills HC job the following season.

as you can see he's not doing well in buffalo either. Didn't remember that sco. thanks

I think Marinelli should have gotten a second chance. The blame clearly falls on Matt Millan who was gone earlier in the year. I feel for a coach who is given few decent players, no QB, and has their best WR traded in the middle of the season. However, that is the NFL.

Even Vince Lombardi couldn't win with all the mismanagement in the Lions organization. It's time to fire this ne'er-do-well.:eureka

16 games too late. Marinelli should have been fired at the end of last season's collapse. The warning signs were all there. Start the season 6-2, finished 7-9. This man was in way over his head. He was a defensive line coach, never even had experience as a defensive coordinator, let alone as a head coach. Enough said.

Yup, your right, I forgot about him, but then he wasn't cursed, he was the interm.

He had a chance to leave !
