The Boilermaker State (#19)
Last night I turned off the 4DTV and everything was fine. When I got up this morning it had moved to G15 for it's nightly update, when I went to change satellites it told me that I had reached the east/west limits. I am stuck on G15. Is there any way that I can clear this and save the satellite positions without doing a reset and re entering everything?

MY 4DTV did that once but I only lost the east limit. I lost everything East of G-15 (G-1) I just went to the set limits page clicked over to where I wanted the east limit, reset the east limit and when done everything was still there. Hope it'll work for you.

Regards

Thanks guys. I've tried that and it will move a couple of clicks and then tell it has reached it's limits.

UPDATE: The dish postion is at 5530, the east/west numbers were set, when I tried to change them it moved two clicks and changed to 5530. Now the dish position and the limits are all set at 5530 and the dish will not move. Any ideas?

That would indicate that the pulses are not getting back to the receiver.

Check the pulse wires from the actuator.

Or take the receiver/?Box to the dish and try it there.

Step ahead of ya Fred.

It was a loose wire outside on the motor. It was doing the same thing when I had a loose wire inside so I decided to take a look out there. I touched the wire, hit the remote and ran it to the east/west limits and it set right up.

Thanks for the help guys. Appreciate it. :up
