Players will NOT participate AFTER the season....After playing 162 games+30spring training games ..and IF they play on a playoff team...add ANOTHER POSSIBLE 21 games??! There is a better chance of injury THEN there is playing before the season starts.

I think the year they play this Classic, they should cancel the Caribean World Series and play it in that time slot. Somewhere between mid January to mid February. This way, ALL players have gottena decent 2 or 3 months off.

The city has been sold out solid this weekend for months due to the WBC. Now that the USA is definitely coming it will make this weekend a REAL circus atmosphere. Couldn't think of a more gorgeous setting for all the world to see than Chavez Ravine!

Only fly in the ointment is a HUGE Anti-War portest palnned for Saturday afternoon in downtown Hollywood. That will kill traffic to/from Dodger Stadium and some prime hotels that are filled to the rafters with world-wide guests.
