Can somone confirm this as true or false...she said channel 5340 was available to Turbo HD Bronze, which would then indicate it is available to all Turbo HD packages (silver and gold as well).

I can not confirm this as I'm at work. I find it hard to believe though.

Here is a chat I just had ... basically, the chat rep could not prove anything ...

Please wait while we find a representative to assist you...

(03) Ted B.: Do you wish to make any programming changes?
(03) Ted B.: Are you still there?
SatGuy: Are you sure? ... I know when the channel was launched it was only available in the ClassHD packages and not in the TurboHD packages.
SatGuy: err ... ClassicHD packages ...
(03) Ted B.: Do you wish to make any changes on your account now?
SatGuy: Nope ... I need to ask around first to make sure that this is true, I just wanted to get the "official" Dish response first.
SatGuy: Again, are you sure this channel is available in the TurboHD packages?
(03) Ted B.: All right! Let me direct you towards the web page where you can find the information.
SatGuy: That works!

(03) Ted B.: Have I answered everything to your satisfaction?
SatGuy: I do not see Nick HD listed ... where are you looking?
(03) Ted B.: Please give me 2 minutes while I check this for you.
SatGuy: That is fine ...
(03) Ted B.: Thank you for your patience.

SatGuy: This is a Classic package comparison ... I am interested in the TurboHD packages.
(03) Ted B.: I would like to inform you that, it is included in the Classic programming and the Turbo pack as well.
SatGuy: It appears you are telling me this channel is available in the TurboHD packages; however, Dish's web site does not seem to confirm this information. How long has the channel been available in the TurboHD packages, do you know?
SatGuy: It must be a recent change because the TurboHD packages have not received near has many HD channels as the Classic packages have.
(03) Ted B.: I am sorry, we do not have that exact information now. However, it is included in the Turbo.
(03) Ted B.: All right! as we found that the Nick is available in the Turbo HD packages. You have got the confirmation.
(03) Ted B.: You are all set. Have I handled everything to your satisfaction?
(03) Ted B.: Are you still there?
SatGuy: I do not feel that you have given me proof that the channel is available in the TurboHD packages in the least. It appears I will have to investigate this a bit. This chat can be closed.
(03) Ted B.: I'm glad we were able to take care of that for you. Thank you for being a DISH Network customer, have a great day.

Maybe that's how these chats are set up nowadays, just a little more sophisticated..... :)

I hate that Chat! I want to reach through that computer and strangle the guy on the other end.

That is basically how I felt.

I would ask ... show me proof.

He would give me proof.

I would check his proof and not find the results.

He would then say ... see, we have proved it!

I have noticed that Sling can take a day or two (at least for me) to catch up when there are channel changes.

well, not to put a damper on your hope, I've just asked my wife to navigate to channel 5340. She told me that it take her to a different channel #, still NickHD, but in RED, meaning it's not available to our tier.

:river

Okay ... well, we seem to have 2 different folks stating it is not available ...

Dish CSRs, they would tell you a bridge was available from Texas to Hawaii too ...

Nope Turbo HD Bronze here, NickHD is in red. 170 is Green with "available for purchse" (by moving to Classic).

Here is my chat:
Me: Is there a bridge from Texas to Hawaii?
(01) Cecilia L. R2O: Just to verify, are you asking for a road?
Me: Yes
Me: One from Texas to Hawaii
(01) Cecilia L. R2O: I apologize but we don't have that information.

Please forward this To CEO

Awesome! We used to play with that on the Commodore PET.

Last time I actually called, the guy would follow every tiny pause with "I am terribly sorry for the extremely long wait."
