Nope.

It's

Comcast 24Million
DirecTV 18 Million
TWC 13 Million
Dish 13 Million

I need to look up the exact numbers but that's what it is.

Interesting #'s. Just curious....why do you guys think that Comcast is in the lead? More HD choices or price? Who provides better HD video Q?

I wonder if ST were not considered, would the #'s be closer (DTV vs Comcast)?

I may be wrong, but isn't Comcast in the lead over Time Warner just because they offer service in more areas? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes
And D* and E* can be had in more places then any cable company in the USA and comcast still Wins with the most customers.
Interesting isn't it.
Add all the cable companys around the Lower 48 together and Satellite tv is still a far cry from what you would call big.:)
Still a TON of Cable subscribers that E* and D* should be stealing.:)
Well D* is , E* I guess doesn't like adding new customers.:(

...or a ton of Cable and Satellite subscribers that Verizon FiOS TV and AT&T U-Verse will earn by offering better quality, value and service. ;)
Fios will be winning.
Fios doesn't even cover a fraction of what D* does and they added 300,000 new customers last quarter alone. As the coverage gets larger D* and E* better look out.
As far as Better Quality goes, couldn't disagree more. Motorola makes good phones, and walkie talkies, But their HD DVRs are far from Quaility.
Fiber Optics, Sure , But I'd rather have it Running through any D* HR or E* VIP then Anything Motorola makes.:(
Customers Service, Sorry but I've had Verizon Internet and Phone for years, Customer service with Verizon is the worst I've ever seen. I'd rather talk to E* worst CSR any day of the week then the 9-5 guy from India.:p
Value ?? Programming and Pricing, Yes!
Fios would need a HD DVR that does record atleast 55 HD hours in order for me to even consider Fios.
But glad you like, and glad its working out for you.:)

I can't wait till Directv starts posting subscriber losses!

Its coming, they just been putting it off by giving away programming and incentives for customers to stay with them when they call to cancel.

You can't put customers on promotions and give away the farm forever!
uh oh, if you are not a D* fanboy you had better not post here.

You can tout FiOS as better quality and service but I wouldn't put U-verse in that same context. If you've read goaliebob's review in the pub about U-verse PQ and technical limitations you wouldn't put it in the same league as FiOS. When U-verse comes to my area I would never consider it as an option. But I would definitely consider FiOS if it every comes to my area. However, I've yet to see any indication that it will. It seems like we will U-verse instead.

I am waiting to see how Dish spins their subscriber loss, while everyone else is showing gains. They can only ride out their, "It's the economy," for so long before shareholders realize he is full of it.

And fyi, I am a happy Dish subscriber for 5 years now :)
Dish will just ignore reality and have their shills talk about how wonderful their DVR's are while they cut off even more channels they dont want to pay for. I swear that situation is the most unprofessional Ive ever seen. That must be a big turn on for the customers. Join us and risk not having channel XXX in the morning.

Is out subdivision, its prob cable 60% Dish and Direct make up the other 40% (if those comcast customers only knew what they were missing out in HD :) )

Though the main reason is in our area we dont have DSL, so if you want high speed you got to do cable so for many, (not me though)! they dont want the cable bill for internet and sat bill for TV.

Thats what great about FIOS. You don't have to use their box. BTW were you a FIOS customer?

Honest question here. How much did you pay for those Tivo HD boxes?
$199 a piece and I OWN them completely.https://www3.tivo.com/store/boxdetails.do?boxName=renewed-180hourtivohd&type=renewed And yes I upgraded my internal HD myself. They were 100 bucks at that time. I dont mind spending money on things I own.
Tell me what is D* charging for the privaledge of RENTING one of their boxes? looks like $199.00. https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/equipment/hd_dvr_receiver
And they will even send some flunkie off the street to go make a mess of your house too when they install it!
All channels unencrypted and transfer to the HD of my PC as a full HD resolution mpeg file at the click of a button or on an automatic preset schedule. Which one of the pizza pan services offers that? And BTW those recordings are perfect, they dont have gaps in them because a cloud passed by

No , But my Inlaws are so I get to use it 4 times a year, and get to hear them complain about the customer service. I also know Verizons customer service first hand, and FIOS is no different.

Buying Tivo boxes throws that Fios value right out the window.

This is the brand new price. Sorry I would much rather give D* $199 for an HR and get 100 hours of HD recording then give Tivo $300 for 20 hours of recording space , "The EXACT Same as the FIOS MOTOROLA comes with"", and still have to pay Fios for service.
What do I care if I own the equipment? I can''t use them without D* or E* service anyway.
