Dish Network and NFL Redzone--A winning combination!!!!"

Serious dude,
Why are you in a Dish Network forum, in the thread about the NFL Redzone channel stirring trouble. It is something different, but to come over to say it's not the same is feed's is bogus. Until you have concrete proof that one friggrin play wasn't shown live then you should retire from the thread.
Not for the same reason why there are even more Dish people in the Direct forum on the Red Zone channel doing the same.

I am not stirring up trouble I am only curious to find out the difference between the ST RZC and the NFL RZC. Relax and stop taking things so personally.

No, I am not going to retire from this thread. If you would like to discuss the differences and similarities between the two RZC, then please do so.

i actually like the sound of that. YOU'RE HIRED!!!!!!!! :D:D

I think the bottom line is that there is not a significant difference between the two Red Zone Channels.

IMHO this closes a huge gap for non-DirecTV NFL fans.

Not here.

edit: Ahh. Never mind. I had PIP running and for some reason it loaded the SD channel. I just tried PIP again and sure enough it loaded the SD channel. Strange. I have the HD channel in the EPG, but it still wants to show the SD channel unless I type in 155 manually.

I had the same issue. This morning, the HD slate was up. When it hit the countdown, it was in SD, as it was when the broadcasts started. I went into my favorite list and activated the SD version of 155 and IT was in HD. I then went back into my favorites and deactivated the SD of 155. The HD 155 was then in HD and has remained so since. Pretty cool channel.

After reading many posts on many forums I believe this to be the case as well. Both are pretty much exactly the same.

I would have to greatly disagree here. The gap is huge and this channel does narrow it somewhat, but it is not even close to closing it totally.

I checked out RedZone on dish for a little while today, VERY SIMILAR to DirecTV's.

I'll make a prediction / hope - when MLB took away the ability to do a strikezone channel by launching their own network, DirecTV dropped the MLB Superfan concept and made HD free as part of the regular package.

I hope that the NFL and DirecTV realize it is unnecessary to have two RedZone channels, and just eliminate it from Sunday Ticket, offering it to all customers (or as a sport pack option). That lessens Superfan (which is often given away free anyway), and they could make HD and the extra feautres (mobile viewing, shortcuts, etc) part of the regular $300 package.

I bet it would help them sell more sports pack, and more sunday ticket, and lessen production costs, using the NFL RedZone, which appears to be a high quality production, right up there with what DirecTV does.

I would agree, for the fan who lives in boston and is a transplant from michigan, Sunday ticket would be great to keep up with the lions, but for other features I think its a great feature to have for Dish customers

And they could add the NFL RZC as part of the ST package AND part of the sports package. This way ST subs get it without having to purchase the sports pack and sports pack subs get it without having to purchase ST.

Well, loved the coverage today. No commercials, and non-stop action. The host did a great job. Saw only one studio error that occurred a few minutes ago. This is the way to watch football, they use their downtime to go over key events. I don't have enough TVs to watch Sunday Ticket in a manner to see every game (unlike Madden and his 9 63" TV setup or Phil Steele). It would be awesome if there was a similar channel for CFB.

Here's the difference, one costs as much as a TV to get access to, the other one the cost of a burrito.

That fact is you said the Ending of the Denver game wasn't the shown on the NFL RZC. You have no proof it wasn't.
I have the Directv RZC and the NFL Network RZC on fios and they look same to me. So until you have some proof other wise retire from the thread.
