Overrated Teams So Far?....

Exactly. Everyone thought this would be a payback game, Terrelle Pryor would make his case for Heisman and Ohio St would roll. Didn't happen. Makes no difference what Barkley did himself, although I think he handled himself well for a freshman, but what matters is USC won.
Who is everyone? I hardly heard anyone pick Ohio State in that game. They were just saying it wouldn't be a blowout.

That was not how ESPN and lots of others presented it. That game was hyped as the night when Ohio St would finally redeem themselves in the eyes of the nation and it would be Terrelle Pryor's coming out party. I didn't buy that BS personally, but that was how ESPN was pushing it.

I am a USC fan, but I agree that they are overrated this year. They have lost too much talent the past two years to the NFL. This year's team has great potential, but isn't ready yet.

I am not worried about this Saturday---the Trojans should beat the Huskies easily. But I really doubt USC will make it to the BCS championship game. Cal has an excellent chance to beat them. Even UCLA could do it, based on pure emotion if nothing else. I agree with DodgerKing. USC prepares well for top-rated teams and often just tries to mail in games against "inferior" opponents.

Cal is very inconsistent. Cal plays USC at home this year. If they are "on" they will win. If they are "off", USC will kill them. I am betting they will be "on".

Awful example. BYU was actually winning BEFORE the injury to Bradford. If anything, BYU is underrated.

Not really, considering BYU only won by 1 point.

And I thought Oklahoma was winning 10-7 when Bradford was hurt, but who's counting. OU going into the half would of had some momentum with that field goal.

At the end of the game, I'm thinking Bradford is able to at least get them closer then a 54 yard field goal attempt for the winner. If the game's even that close, with him still playing.

Take any Heisman winner away from their team and I think you get the result we have here. Just my two cents, BYU isn't a top ten team based on the OU win.

Oklahoma was ranked #3 going into the game. BYU was ranked #20. Regardless of Bradford, the Sooners still should've won. They didn't. An upset occurred. How in the world is BYU "overrated" for beating the #3 team in the nation?!

Bzzz. Wrong again. Bradford left before they kicked the field goal, so technically they weren't winning at the time he left the game.

Attitudes like this are the sole reason non-major conferences will never get any respect.

Nothing of what you say even makes sense HD MM.

What the hell is your point. You contradict yourself in the same post and put up a  for S's and G's?

Either way, OU wouldn't have been #3 before hand and BYU wouldn't have jumped so much if Bradford was hurt before the season/game.

But BYU wasn't winning either, now were they?

OU has a good defense and I think they proved it by holding a pretty good BYU offense to 14 points. Without Bradford they don't win this game.

With all the All Stars on his (Barkley) team , he should be able to eaty lunch back there and perform admirably.

Still don't see what Barkley did that was sooo great, the last drive, the ONE that they moved at will on, they had NO PRESSURE on him, he should have been able to hand the ball of and make dump passes to McKight.

Color me NO IMPRESSED ..... yet.
He may end up being a stud, but it's quite a bit too early to annoint him HOF material just yet.

Of course ESPN is pushing it that way .... If it happens, it makes them look good.

MOST people seem to have forgotten that the Buckeye's lost MOST of thier D and most of thier Offense is freshman and sophomores.

All I heard all week was how USC lost so many players .... PLEASE ....

... USC better be prepared for Washington Saturday. The Huskies aren't the sam team as last year. Could be one of those "little" games to trip on.

Huskies turned out to be a speed bump. :) Washington 16, USC (without starting QB) 13

0-12 last season and upset the #3 team in the country the next. Pretty impressive. Gotta say, Locker looked a heck of a lot more poised than Pryor did last week. He's the real deal.

Virginia Tech is a bit overrated.

It's amazing how they win so many games with so little scoring.

They will have to win it on defense, but that does not mean overrated (they may be though).
I just wont count a defensive team out. Offense wins games, defense wins championships.

Yes they are. They pulled a rabbit out of the hat today. It'll be interesting to see what happens next week against the U. VT might get shutout. And Carolina's defense will bury them too.
