Yeah it will sure make digging the hole easier and burying the cables! I wonder if the wife will let me buy one? Blind
I have a similar rig, although my backhoe isn't quite as big. I didn't have it when I installed my BUD, but it did help when I re-ran my coaxes.
However my main use for the thing sat wise, is the front end loader. I pull that up beside the dish, and raise it as high as it goes, then climb a ladder up into the loader. That way I can reach the feedhorn on the BUD, and have all my meters and tools in the bucket near me. Only problem is that I have a hydraulic leak in the pistons, and the thing slowly lowers, so I can't stay up in the thing very long anymore.
Those are neat toys. A big hit when grand-kids come to visit.

Cool toy, a good friend's brother has one he uses to dig graves. He pretty much stays busy when the ground isn't frozen.
Yes it is a MF 202 Industrial, also know as a Work Bull. I haven't looked up the serial number to see what year it is but they were produced from around 1963 to sometime in the late 60's. I have a million projects in mind for it, the picture shows me digging a trench to bury a water line to the barn. It was and still is a mess but it sure was fun! No more carrying buckets of water to the horses.

Our 70° fall weather-week is over with. Back to the low 80's, now.
Exactly! Carried MANY water buckets to the heifers and calves in the cold back barn when growing up on the farm. The horses got let out of their stalls to drink from the water vat - dad had work horses - and they drank lots of water! And there lots of mornings we had to chop ice out first.

Frost penetrates the ground here down about 4', more in areas of traffic where it gets pushed/packed down.
The trench is anywhere from 5-8' deep depending on the traffic in that area. There is a freeze proof hydrant (8' long) in the barn that has a valve that drains the water standing in the pipe down under the frost line.
The past few weeks it has been between 25°F and 41°F.........a bit early even for us here in Canada. We even had snow on the 12th of this month........It didn't stay but let me tell you, it was NOT welcomed!

The hose works great in the summer but after freeze up..........the horses can't suck hard enough on it to get the ice chunks out so the water can start flowing again. Then their lips get frozen to the metal end on the hose. Not a pretty picture.
I'm also not gonna miss moving the hose to mow the lawn!
We had an old MF 30 industrial that I spent a few (hundred) hours running. It had a little Perkins diesel, which I rebuilt, and was running good when we sold it.
I bet that old dinosaur is still out stirring up the dirt somewhere.
Great piece to have Inno. I always wanted one, a newer one with 4WD of course, lol but they are so much fun.
Newer and 4WD would be awesome but I love wrenching on things and this one is pretty easy to work on.
It's a stepping stone, I'll do with it what I need to do and then make it pretty and sell it. Then maybe the 4x4 version!

That will save you lots of work. My MF65 with a Sherman backhoe attachment has saved me so much time that I actually have time to watch TV.
My A$$hole neighbor, trust me, has a hobby tractor of about 25 HP that he likes to push snow and trash over onto my property. We have had to take him to court a few years ago and since then he has made our lives and the lives of our other neighbors He!!
We had a property line dispute so I got a survey and put up a fence. He cracks it with his tractor blade on purpose. We call the cops. The neighbor says he can do anything he wants to the fence because it is on his property. I show the survey and the property markers to the cops but they don't want to press charges at this time. He pushes trash over onto our property. We call the cops. "Oh, not me. That trash was already there!" Even tho the other neighbors saw him do it. And yet the cops refuse to press charges. :rant:
BUT, if I had tried any of these things I would still be sitting in jail.
So, I am glad I don't have a tractor with backhoe attachment. His abandoned apartment building next door would have even more damage to it.

I'd put up some security cameras. Have 'em record images every few seconds to a computer.
Mount the cameras hidden, so no one notices, and don't talk about them.
If you make them obvious, or let on that you're putting them up, he might try his tactics at night.
If that is a possibility, you'd need cameras with infra red LEDs to light up the field of vision (not expensive).
Armed with the video, I'd take his @$$ to court, and make sure he paid for all previous transgressions AND the security hardware!
But that's just me... and I'm such a nice guy. . . -
