I am never but within an arms reach of .38 regardless of where I am.

Carry? No. Have handy, especially at work? Yep.

I used to carry one of these ... can't believe I used to, but when you were a teenager in L.A and living in the bad hoods... was needed when you were in a gang.

If you were "in" a gang, how did you get "out" of the gang?

Took a new identity.. had to, and moved like 50miles away from gangland.
Became a business owner and change my whole life around.

Never looked back too.. and I am glad I didn't

Best of luck to you on that.

We've had a bit of unpleasantness at work, so guns are available. Home? Well, that's a little slower access now, since my FiL visits, has Alzheimer's and is going thru a klepto phase.

I don't "carry" one most of the time, but as another poster said I have one close by most times. One at all times in my vehicle ( which I am in often), one in mydesk at work. I do employ some convicted felons so......

And several at home. Most southerners have the standard issue shotgun;)

Wow.... I find it very unusual that people are allowed to have a gun in their possession at work unless you are a police officer, military or armed guard.

At the Texas prison where I work and when I am assigned in the perimeter pickets , I carry a pistol on my hip and an AR-15 rifle slung over my shoulder . By the way we are not allowed to carry them INSIDE the prison at all , unless we have to subdue a riot. But at home I don't own a weapon at all. Don't really like them in my house with my kid. My Major just had his AR-15 rifle- for his personal use, stolen at his house. It was used in a convenience store robbery a day later in town. Police said that there were over 30 shells found at the scene. Lucky he reported the weapon stolen or he would have some real explaining to do .

I have a PS90 (semi-auto version of the P90) and For carry I have a SMith And Wesson 432PD revolver.

I prefer the revolver as a carry weapon then one with a clip just because of the reliability factor. If I ever do have to use it I want it to work.

Threads like this are so silly and scary. Do I have to have my pants around my ankles when I type this?

Armed Senior Citizens

My wife and I have concealed weapon permits, and we both carry our weapons everywhere except where it is not permitted. Uncle Sam was my teacher, and yes I have used it to defend myself. As senior citizens and due to the fact that we travel often, we always carry.

Without getting political, why do you think it is silly or scary, if you dont mind me asking?

I think it's silly for people to start a thread like this. It just doesn't seem to have a purpose. Is it a macho validation thing? To see who's "gun" is bigger or more powerful? For all of you carrying these pistols, are you at least doing it legally?

Concealed Carrying Permit in the sate of PA which I possess is 100% legal.
When you don't have the proper documents then its not legal.
I have the Gun registered that I conceal.
We are not the Criminals. Just remember that. One day you might run into a situation where you'll be happy one of us are around.;)
Remember The USA has the right to Bare Arms

Silly? We are all entitled to own opinions, that may yours & that is fine. If you don't carry, that is fine also. Those of us who do have our reasons, which we do not have to explain to anybody. If you want to participate here, you should at least respect the fellow members views on this thread without the sarcastic remarks.

Yes, as long as it is in my truck, in mississippi, that is considered an extension of my home. I can carry, and defend, by law. In my office, it is on my own property. So covered there as well. If I were to carry one outside of my own property, or vehicle, then yes, I would get a permit. And people need to remember, one state permit does not cover you for every state.

I guess I just disagree. I dont see it as anything but a question, and the question doesnt seem to be the problem. It is the subject IMHO.

I'm a little surprised about how many people own a gun and am completely shocked about all the concealed carriers.....I must be naive.

You guys must live in a scary world. :)
