IMO, you can't compare the Super Bowl to any other event..............After the game ends there's confetti flying, hats and t-shirts distributed to the victors, media circling the field and in general, all kinds of bedlam.

Peyton reached out postgame..............he deserves a pass here.

He realized what he did was wrong....

i hear what you're both saying. i guess it's a matter of opinion but today with all the different ways of communicating we have, a call or a text as he did after the game is good imo. just text it baby

I wholeheartedly agree, and that's what makes it important to respect your opponent there and congratulate him in the biggest victory of his life. It's not like Manning hasn't been on the other side before.

Absolutely....but THAT has not been what I have been arguing about in regards to Tiger Woods. AS CLASSLESS an act that he committed....it is NONE OF YOURS....MINES or anyone elses business because it is A FAMILY MATTER!! The ONLY reason it is still out there is people's morbid curiosity about WHO someone famous is sleeping with.

The problems is, because I defended his right to privacy....which last time I checked...ALL AMERICANS have it.....you were ASSUMING that I am or was ok with his cheating. Not the case. I have also defended the fact that IF you do a search on sexual addition....there are TONS of hits by reputable folks and doctors.

Back on subject.

There seems to be a big difference between the Peyton and LeBron situations. After the playoff game, James said he didn't want to congratulate the other team and why would he congratulate someone that just beat him down. After the SB, Manning said he didn't shake hands because he wanted to give the Saints a chance to celebrate and would talk to Brees and Payton later. Whether you believe Manning or not, I don't think you can compare the two situations.

And for the record I don't think it matters what either of them did. This isn't Little League with the mandatory, "good game, good game, good game....."
