Eagles have released RB Brian Westbrook

How sickening would it be for Chargers fans after watching Drew Brees win a Super Bowl, to then watch LT go to Atlanta and back up Turner as they win one? I think they need more help than that, but it could happen.

Westbrook to SD with Sproles ?

Somewhere I heard rumor of LT going to the Vikes with AP.

First B. Dawkins, now Westy? Wow. Diehard Iggle fans must be reeling!

Listened to Howard Eskin yesterday, and Angelo Cataldi today. Eagle fans are treating this differently than Dawkins, most would like him back, but realize Westbrook is not worth the salary.

They like to save their venom for McNabb and Reid...not too much left to go around after that. ;)

Randy Hansen, the guy that Tom Cable was cleared of assaulting, is being sued civily along with the Raiders itself. Randy Hanson sues Raiders, Cable | ProFootballTalk.com

Strangely enough he's been an employee this whole time too, just segregated from everyone else... Hanson leads segregated life as Raiders employee | ProFootballTalk.com

* Hanson works for the team, but has to enter the building through the front entrance. Team employees and players go through the back.

* Hanson is not allowed to enter the "football" area of the building, just the administrative side. He was not allowed to attend home games.

* Initially, these conditions were only supposed to last four weeks. On January 28, Hanson was told by Al Davis the segregation would remain in place as long as Hanson remained with the team. (That makes us wonder if he held off filing the suit until he learned his estrangement was permanent.)

* Here's our favorite: "If [Hanson] wished to eat the lunch provided daily to the Raiders staff, he must ask someone to bring it to him."

Strangely? Like that's the only strange thing??? :D

The organization of dysfunction just rolls along....

This was his lifelong dream, that was supposedly the reason it took him so long to file his original complaint.

There are whistleblower protections too maybe.

He's probably got a pretty good case (his jaw didnt break itself) and if it really does go to trial we'll all finally find out the nitty gritty details that few/any of us care to hear.

The burden of proof is not so stringent when it comes to civil cases too.

Yeah, just the reported punking (supposedly Cable didnt hit him, but instead jumped at him acting like he was going to... Hansen fell out of his chair, resulting in the injury. Not sure how you break your jaw unless he's built like a frail woman, but oook...) of Hanson could be enough to find the Raiders and Cable liable in a civil suit. The end result is an unsafe work environment perpetrated by the employer and his direct manager.

Even as a Chiefs fan, some Raider trainwrecks get old to laugh at after a while, and this one's been smoldering on the tracks for some time.

Raiders have franchised Richard Seymour, he'll make 12.4m next year unless they can work out a long term deal (which he has said he's open to)

Patriots have signed WR David Patten to a 1 year deal.

Browns and former GM Kokinis have settled their grievance confidentially, he was owed $4mil of his contract after being dismissed and the Browns tried to do so with cause so they didn't have to pay it out.

The Pats scored only two offensive touchdowns in the 2001 AFCCG (@ PIT) and SB XXXVI (vs. STL), and Patten scored them both (from two different QB's).

Welcome back, David! :)

It's been alleged that Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno was involved in a bar fight in Athens, GA and punched a guy in the face. No charges or anything filed yet.

Knowshon Moreno is a Jersey shore guy...a REAL Jersey shore guy, unlike those Staten Island BENNIES on MTV. Don't mess with Jersey shore guys...;)
