NFL preseason 2010-2011 Official discussion thread!

Wes Welker is doing well post-surgery, but is not expected to be available for the start of the season. He'll likely end up on the PUP list, which would put him out until week 6.

Somewhere a fantasy football owner is weeping.

Knowshon is not going to face any charges, the victim has elected not to press charges and the case has been closed lacking probable cause.

Josh Cribbs: New Contract Coming Soon

The Plain Dealer is reporting that Cribbs’ agents will be in Indianapolis for the start of the NFL combine. It is here that the representatives hope to complete a deal for their client.

Last reports had the two parties approximately $5 million apart in terms of guaranteed money. The contract that was discussed was for considerably more money versus his current deal, with incentives being a large part.

Hopefully, as the Browns head into the NFL Draft in April, all contractual issues will be rectified and the team can focus solely on adding the pieces needed for the much-needed improvement.

Next thing he will pull to likely get out of Cleveland is talk bad about the front office.

Except we have a brand new, respectable front office, so that excuse holds no water. Plenty of bad blood has been settled since Holmgren/Heckert took over. Our front office is the now the most stable thing about this franchise.

I would agree....but in the end, the final decision that they should or should not spend on a player is the owner..especially if it's for the kinda money he is asking for.

Rumored trade being worked on... Jason Campbell possibly being sent to the Bills in exchange for Whitner and draft pick(s).

Who the heck would the Redskins get? Who is Whitner anyway?
