It is usually 10 pm local time, Mexico City, so 11 pm ET. BTW C Band @ 113W is SD not HD. Mexico is a large country and uses 3 time zones but I think the 3 Azteca local stations on 113W are located in ET time zone. The fight show will be live on PPV starting at 9 pm ET.

Azteca HD is DVB-S2 @ 121W on C-Band. There is also the same old Azteca mux in SD in the same bird. Can anyone post the exact parameters for the S2 signal at 121W?. Lyngsat is missing the FEC and Pilot info.

Yeap.. they been showing the PPV fights for a while now, no surprise they are doing so again.

The channels at Satmex 6 (the SD and the HD), and the ones at 93ºW and HD in 121ºW are central standard time, the Azteca America channels in 121ºW are PST and EST since they are aimed for the US.

What i hope for is their wildfeed of the event live stays at the same places as other times that has been reported (93ºW+105ºW for the SD and HD respectively, 72ºW or even 91ºW Ku+99ºW C).

Cheers

The last fight I watched on there, Pacman, was at least an hour behind infact I read the results on Sporting news as I was watching the third round.

OOOh they have the fight one or two hours delayed to avoid being sued by the guys who have the rights for the PPV event.

Do you think it's a good idea to be pointing these fights out? could they not be asked to encrypt for certain event, or to encrypt fully. I mean most of us that watch these channels know they have the fights every weekend so why advertise it?

Not trying to be an ass or anything just thinking out loud.

I don´t know about talking about those in the protected subforums since i was kicked out (don´t know why), but... since that info is widely available in those free OTA channels in México i tought it could be made available to people in this forum.

By the way the info is on their webpage:
Code:
http://www.aztecadeportes.com/boxazteca/index

A lot of channels from both SatMex are intended for cable use in other countries (Honduras, Dominican Republic has cable channels there, also Globovision is only in cable in some countries, Mexico has the AyM channels with boxing, cuban baseball and a lot of sports inteded for cable, also Cadena 3)... wouldn´t also be wise to get those out of The List? after all people who get those sats usually know what channels there are.

I was not aware there was an HD version on 113W. Thanks for the info BTW. Like I said it is very late in the evening 2 hours later (11 pm ET) so I think hardcore boxing fans will either go to a bar or gather with friends and buy the PPV event in a group. After all how many "millions" in NA have even a linnear ku dish anyways let alone a motorised one. And I though I was paranoid, lol.

This channel has been showing this type of fights for years and always in delay.

Is this in standard DVB format, or do I need a special FTA receiver to view it? I'm using a Fortec Star Mercury II. Does the signal get as far North as Canada?

Cool. I'll motor over to that sat tonight and see how it comes in. Never thought of trying those channels, but now that I see there is good stuff on there, I'll need to include them in my channel list.

Smackdown on friday, NFL on Sunday from CBS, NBA on Sunday Lots of Soccer

Pacman Party

I've been doing Pacman parties for awhile, this time a friend of mine is hosting the party, we all just chip in $10 bucks for the HBO PPV fight that covers the $50 PPV fee and food and drinks for the host.

But I read on Facebook just now on the Pacman and Clotty member page EuroSport will be showing the fight also in the clear, is Eurosport availible on any of the US birds?? I think it was Eurosport Germany.
