Are they any good for narrow signals like h264 1.5 mb channels or just regular 3mb channels

I have a Sonicview 8000 and its really bad for narrow channels, but it opens ALL of the high SR channels like 20,000 and up even with low signal.

I hope someone here has one of those three and can tell me if they are any good.

I always wanted to try out the CW4000HD but too pricey. Other then that, I've never had those models mentioned.

There will be a new update for the CW 4000HD for DVB S2 now being beta tested. I would wait for that release which would be worthwhile.

Can't comment on the other 2 models.

I asked that question and never got any reply. My guess is a licensing issue and they don't wanna pay for it.

Being a powerful cpu linux box, you'd think it would just be installing the right codec. The tuner is a Genpix skywalker, and I've used a skywalker-1 with elecard codec for 4:2:2 for 4 years now.
:?

that was my assumption. if the tuner is upgraded to an s2 tuner maybe there is no need to ask the question about 4:2:2.

crackt out,.

I used (note: not owned, only used at a friend's house) the Viewsat HD and the NFusion HD, and they are simply not worth it, neither has blind scan, doesn't do DVB-S2 (only turbofec to steal dish's signal), and are even a disgrace trying to hunt a feed.

The CW's I have not owned nor used, but a friend similarly told me the same, bad blindscan, powerful machine for what it was created, but not a lot more, it was a headache every weekend when we would hunt feeds for hours just seeing what's out there, and those receivers complicated everything hehehe.

Still... I'd like to see them adding S2 since it is such a pricey machine. You're better off with the SV.

Cheers

Mike

I have a N-fusion HD and its not bad. The 8psk is only for the dish turbo so no dvb-s2. But if you can find good software it picks up and scans ok. Waiting for a new motor to get here to start scan the arc. Also the OTA ATSC tuner picks up great. But I really would not recremend it but buy something else.

CW600P and VS9000HD don't blind scan worth a darn. My old Pansat 2700 blind scans pretty good, but it's not very fast.
