2010 Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament Thread

It'll be very interesting if BYU survives that Kansas State game and advances to the regional. That game would be a tossup, in my opinion. Kansas State is good, but so is BYU.

Imagine Syracuse going from home court advantage for two games in Buffalo, to having to play BYU and a very hostile crowd in Salt Lake City...oh my.

How's 'Cuses center? His health will effect my bracket....

Here is what JB said this morning in the 'Mike and Mike' show:

Arinze will more than likely miss the 1st weekend of the tourney...IF the 'Cuse survives....he will be back for the following weekend. Eventhough he is their starting center....he only averages about 25 minutes a game because of his size.
Right now....he can jog...barrely. They will put in Rickey Jackson....who also averages about 20-25 minutes to start and their very young, but very talented freshman TRUE center, DeShonte Riley to get a little playing time also.

Like I said, the 'Cuse is in the West regional where it is NO WHERE near as tough as the other regionals.

Syracuse.....Kansas....West Virginia.....and Villanova....MY Final Four. The 'Cuse over Kansas and West Virginia over 'Nova.

...Syracuse over West Virginia for the National Championship

I have the same FF, except I have Kansas over West Virginia for the National Championship.

My Final Four- Kansas State, Kansas, Duke, West Virginia.

West Virginia over Kansas State for the national title

(A tad surprised that Salsa picked Villanova- they slumped down the stretch, including a beatdown by his Orangemen.

But then again, after they made it all the way to last year's FF, they do have the experience and talent to get back there.)

Kentucky gets the winner of the 8 v 9 matchup of Texas versus Wake Forest. Each of those teams held the #1 ranking during the regular season. I bet this is the first time that a #1 regional seed was guaranteed of playing its second tournament game against another team that had been ranked #1 nationally.

Wake wasn't #1. They barely sniffed the top 25 this year.

...Not if some brackets are more loaded than others.....

Not the point, that will always happen...or at least be perceived to have happened. ;)

The point is regions are so mixed now that whether you came out of the West or the East or wherever no longer matters.
