Hello,
I was curious if anyone could point me in the right direction.
I have a CoolSat 5000 whose Sat lists are way out of date and I would like to update them.
Is this possible easily and if so what software do I need.
I run Linux on my PC.
Thanks

I have attached the loader and my "master" list of sats.
Has 30-148 on KU
72-139 on C-Band

and a list of transponders that are up 24/7

unzip both files
open loader
at the top find the tab that says "channels"
click "browse"
find file called "master"
hit "connect"...it will show the software version in the receiver
press "start" and let it download to the computer

you do need a RS232 cable to do this...that is the only drawback

Dont mean to hijack, but I'm thinking of getting a CS 5000 or CS 6000. Iceberg or anyone, would you say the 5000 and 6000 are on equal ground as far as blind scan? Thanks.

the 4/5/6000 models are really the same. The 4000 is usually in a black case, the 5000 had black or silver and the 6000 I think was just black

the 6000 had more "EPG memory" which is useless for us ;)

You cant go wrong with any of those 3
