Hi guys, I recently got a 10 ft Winegard mesh dish set up andoperational It cam with a Thomas saginaw Actuator and works just great.

This week, I bought a monster actuator that was mounted to yet another 10ft Winegard mesh dish exacly like mine. (he wants me to buy the dish for $30.00)
Ipaid $50 for the actuator. It has a small motor and gear that chain drives a 6 in gear which drives a HUGE monster half moon shaped gear with teeth the size of an aligator! The plasic shrouds that protect the box has a label worn off but I think I can read Florence, CO ?

Could this be the CoRotor I read about?

Which is better for 'C' an Ku. I'm also using the 741 lnbf which seems real nice but have found difficult to align with the deep dish.Just barely reach lnb from ladder.

Thanks Al

CoRotor is a feedhorn, not a dish mover. If you can put up a picture of your mystery motor, somebody around here will surely have an idea of what it is. Sounds like some kind of horizon-to-horizon motor but since I've never got lucky enough to find one of those, I can't say for certain.

Yes it is a H-H as he was using it for that purpose and told me it was. I'll try to get some pics shortly... Thanks Al

Please see attached pics - Actuator weight about 50 lbs

AJAK motor owners:

A number of people here have AJAK motors.
You can do an Advanced Search for post by the following members, with the key word "AJAK".

(those members have posted pictures which I've archived; others may have, too)

Should be plenty of documentation available, including a manual!
... but don't let that stop you from showing more pix or asking questions!
It's a VERY nice motor and whatever you paid, it's well worth it! - :up

PS: and it's more like 60 lbs! ... maybe a little more! - :)
Oh, and there were three models, but most of us have the big one, the 180.

Thanks everyone I will look for AJAX - Sounds like the correct location. I paid $50 for it in working condition. Local Ham switched from C band to the now upcoming provider that is supposed to replace Motorola. He also has the 4dtv and side car he wants to sell to me for about $100. I'm not sure I want to, or need, something that will expire at the end of the year. Plus I don't want to subscribe to the system he was on anyway.

I now have a Prodilin 6 ft, and a Unimesh 7.5 ft dish laying along side the house. The wife wants me to make a gazbo out of the Unimesh, but I'm thinking for $50 more I'll buy his 10 ft wingard and make a gazbo from that. Too bad I can't turn it pointing UP. Then I could track the moon and build up a transmitter and lnb to bounce signal off surface on 1296 Mhz.

I'm drownding in std's now and running crazy trying one or another on C and Ku. I fully appreciate everyone's listings of equipment you have. Seems that you never have enough.....

the 4dtv unit will be good past the end of this year. motorola is not ending support it is only rumours and it sounds like your neighbour got rooked by nps. you could definately resell the reciever and side car for more than 100 bucks. there are also some free channels the 4dtv reciever will tune.

I'm drownding in std's now...

i hope you meant STB's and not STD's for your wifes sake of course. haha.

crackt out,.

Yes, much info here and many owners.
As I said, I think someone even posted a manual for it.

That' s a hangin' offense 'round here! -

wood is cheap and ill trade it for any bud. ill even build the damn gazebo for the dish.

crackt out,.

I goofed on terms ment to say STB..... Ha I have looked at most all posts here and I am positive my rotor is the AJAK 180. Guess I'll clean and check it for proper op then install it.

Thanks for feedback on Mot 4dtv and sidecar.

AH you guys, "Shirley you jest" I thought that very clever of me! Better a gazbo then being told get it out of here. I could always use it when I build the redwood deck I had been planning on last fall. Don't ya think?

could it be shipped usps parcel post?

Great site here. Better than any others around... al
