Official 922 Release Notice

I just ordered a 922 for $200. I am scheduled for installation tomorrow afternoon.
I can't wait. Thanks Scott. I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for Satellite guys.:D:D

It won't like the 922...

But when the Slingtuner is available (which I expect around June) then you can use TV2 in full HD.

its not this?

I ordered the 922 got it for a $200 dollar upgrade and $15 dollar install.I was asked about broadband and said I have to have it or at least in 30days or I will have to give it back. The guy is coming in at 8am in the morning to bring me the 922.

Just called, I am on the HD Absolute, paperless with auto pay, with a perfect payment record. I have been a customer for 3 years now.

Dish told me $400 and they would not move on the price, I told her I was not interested.

She did thank me because I was the first person she had handled the request for, she admitted that she should "study" up a bit so further inquiries go smoother.

Are you in a contract? I have absolute also and my contract expired in march and I am getting it for $200 tomorrow at 8am. If you have been with dish for 3 yrs you might be in a contract with 1 yr left. To be able to get absolute you had to sign a 2 yr contract. So u might be a few months left u should check to see if ur in a contract.

Scott, TV2 is outputting side 1 programming. This is how I have it hooked up in my house at the moment. At the time i hooked it up I had the understanding that it was going to be in dual mode. Oh well.

If you add the MT2 OTA Tuner, it gives you TV1 coax out. :)

I havent tested what the TV2 coax out is actually outputting now (if anything) I will try it tonight before the radio show. :)

No, when I signed up it was an 18 month contract and I have been clear for 18 months now. I also own my 722, which is the only receiver on my account. Maybe I will try the CSR Roulette! :)

Did you ask if ur in a contract? Call back see if ur in a contract.

There are soooo many retarded people in the world. They see a number could be $200 or $400 or what ever. There brain says hey it's $400 and that's what they quote. Have u read some of the comments people have left on here or in yahoo news. It clearly says something and then they ask and say it did not say that. Some people don't read the who thing clearly and just assume.

Install tomorrow between 8-12, $200, added DHPP and install is $15, $95 install without DHPP. Ordered OTA tuner, could not order a second remote until the receiver is active on the account. I have an HDMI splitter to 3 TV's, I will just have to take the remote to the bedroom until I can get a second. :)

It has to be on 110 or 119 or 129 because I have the new version. Maybe it's on a conus transponder on 129.

So the software is only on these satellites? I assume it is also on one of the eastern arc sats?

Posted about these a few pages back but no response. Since a couple folks have ordered now, has anyone had any trouble ordering the OTA module for their 922? I thought I saw in some posts that those were hard to get right now.

...and to Scott...did they ever enable IR remote compatibility so that we can use our Harmony remotes with the 922, or is it still RF only?

Ok, one more thing...I notice a lot of folks getting charged for installation. Will they allow a self-install of a 922, or has anyone asked yet? Knowing Dish, probably not, but just wondered

I was able to order the module, my CSR stated OTA module is included with this installation.

I did not ask because I bought one. It's due to be here tomorrow or Friday. I thought dish was sold out. I thought like the 722k u had to buy it not included with ur reciever

So it sounds like I do not need the MT2 tuner to back feed my sd tv's.

Scott did you ever try it last night?

I just talked to Claude from DISHSTORE and he just got 50 of the cartridges in stock today. :)

Yes IR works, you just need to turn IR on in the remote setup screen as shown in the review.

If your getting it from Dish they will send a Tech out... which might not be abad thing, as if your other equipment such as DISH, or switch need upading or a repoint they will do it as well while they are there.

Also if you are a do it yourself type person when the tech comes tell them that, tell them you want to install it yourself, had them a $10 bill and send them on their way and they will be happy. :D
