Is there any word or hints that direct going to carry peachtree in HD? It is just tough to watch non-hd.

I know this doesn't help other nights but tonight the Braves are in HD on the MLB Network - 213.
It's blacked out on MLB Network where I am. Strangely enough,MLB Network was showing the game,& then suddenly it went off & said "blacked out" after I switched the channel to Peachtree TV(Braves Channel) & then back.
I'm also in NC and we had been watching the game for about 15 mins in HD when the message came up that it was blacked out on this channel. Ended up watching it on Peachtree. Maybe I'm just slow but I have never understood this whole blackout thing. What is it supposed to accomplish? Is it supposed to make me want to buy Braves tickets and go watch the game live? I've only been to one Braves game in my lifetime and I did enjoy the experience overall. However our seats were so far from the field we couldn't see the batter. Mostly watched the game on the big screen. I'd rather watch on TV.
When a game is on the MLB Network it is blacked out in the teams "local area" (the area they claim)...basically you are forced to watch it on the RSN/local TV
