The fast blind scan option looks interesting..... I have been on the fence about purchasing one of these cards. Looking forward to someone posting results while scanning with this option.

I am also interested in the USB DVB-S2. Just trying to decide if I should go that route or possibly with the Sathawk PVR800 STB or maybe both. I am new the the FTA scene.

Here are a few of the scan times using the "Fast blind scan option":

125°W Ku 3:44
97°W Ku 3:29
87°W Ku 3:47
79°W Ku 1:02 (ONLY KTEL was active)
72°W Ku 3:05

No active transponders were missed on the satellites tested.
(1666 was the lowest symbol rate found on the scans, I will check lower ones tomorrow morning.)

this is u last time test report:
__________________________________________________________
Here are a few scan times:

97.0°W Galaxy 19 Ku (Try TPs, and scan programs)
Total TPs with valid signal: 23
Total TPs with valid programs: 21
Total valid programs: 387
TIME 7:48

97.0°W Galaxy 19 Ku (Only try TPs, and not scan programs)
Total TPs with valid signal: 23
TIME 6:04

72.0°W AMC 6 Ku (Try TPs, and scan programs)
Total TPs with valid signal: 23
Total TPs with valid programs: 21
Total valid programs: 387
TIME 16:52

103.0°W AMC 1 Ku (Only Horizontal) (Try TPs, and scan programs)
Total TPs with valid signal: 19
Total TPs with valid programs: 16
Total valid programs: 18
TIME 7:49

On AMC 1 the device picked up all the feeds visible on my BLSA, my coolsat 6000 missed many.

EDIT: Hopefully someone else can scan 97.0°W Galaxy 19 Ku (Since most of the transponders are constant) with the device and post their scan times.

so it shows the blind scan speed is more improved . hope all can test and report for us, thanks!!

That is very good news! I wonder what the thought was with having the initial scan do the three passes. Looks like this is a nice blind scan solution for use with a computer.

if it can do 3 passes in the time it takes other recievers to do 1 thats good news to me. im sure the thought is on complete scans for those with less than ideal cnr. im about to test the new driver and scan some sats.

I have DvbWorld 2006 Pcie and I have a problem. My diseqc don't work with this card.
This is settings of my sat instalation:

Diseqc 2.0 Axing Spu-41-02
AXING-Polarittsumschalter

Lnb1 PosA/A - Hotbird 13e
Lnb2 PosA/B - Astra 19,2e
Lnb3 PosB/A - Eurobird 28,5e
Lnb4 PosB/B - nothing

On my last card (Skystar1) it work's fine, but on pcie 2006 on orginal DVBWorld software work only lnb1 (A/A) and lnb3 (B/A). When I use alternative software like Dvb Dream, ProgDvb,
Alt DVB etc.- I have signal only on Lnb1.
Is there any chance to run this diseqc on DVBWorld PCIe 2006?
P.S
Sorry for my English

BDA does NOT support diseqc commands, manufacturers have their own proprietary extensions to enable diseqc. therfore each program must be specifically writen to enable that manufacturers implementation of diseqc.

its a crappy system MS has given you guys, down right stupid. your best bet is to talk to whatever program you use most and try and convince them to add the dvbworld pcie 2006 diseqc driver support.

If it were open src you could add it yourself, but then again you probably wouldnt have this problem either because no one in their right mind would have created a satellite driver standard and left out diseqc commands.

So, I must wait as long as DvbWorld would update driver to diseqc support and then talk with producers of software like Dvb Dream to add diseqc support in their software.

dvbworld supports diseqc in their driver. the sdk is available on their website. since the bda spec does not include diseqc support each vendors workaround may differ. if diseqc doesnt work with the app you want to use then id email the developer and point them to the sdk on worlddvb . com . diseqc works with my pcie2006 with the dvbworld software.

Crackt were you able to get diseqc to work with the SDK? I can use diseqc with the DVBWorld app but not with the SDK (I can tune transponders with the SDK).

i havent even had time to look at the sdk yet. hopefully my real life will slow down a touch by next week. has anyone tried the linux drivers lately ?

Sdk file from DVBWorld site (2009.07.10):
"The products supported:
a) DW2002X,DVB-S PCI Device, without CA/CI interface.
b) DW2004X,DVB-S2 PCI Device, without CA/CI interface.
c) DW2005,DVB-S2 PCIE Device, with CA/CI interface.
d) DW2102X,DVB-S USB2.0 Device, with CA/CI interface or not.
e) DW2104X,DVB-S2 USB2.0 Device, with CA/CI interface or not."

SDK on DvbWorld Website doesn't support pcie 2006. Also I'm not sure if DVBWorld app support diseqc 2.0 because in specification on their site is only 1.2 diseqc and usals support. Crackt what kind of diseqc do You have?

I think that the PCIE 2006 should work with the SDK as it is a BDA tuner.
You probably have to take the KSSTRING_BdaSWCaptureFilter from the driver ini file and define it as the GUID for the device in the SDK.

Guys, what is the meaning of SDK, and what use is it?

Can somebody please direct me to a thread or somewhere that explains how to setup the pci2004d. I've spent all day messing with this thing and just don't understand it. I'm ready to pull my hair out. Thanks.
