Any chance more space added for RSN's on Wednesday??

<sigh>

So how does Dish decide which games get the HD treatment and which don't? I looked and Fox Sports Southwest seems to put at least some NBA and NHL games in HD. Why not MLB?

No one knows. If I had to guess I would say they tape the schedule of HD games at the wall and then throw a handfull of darts at them. The ones that are hit are shown... the ones that are not hit are not.

Sounds silly but beats any other explination I can think of. :D

I just looked at Friday 12PM PDT, Rangers-RedSox in HD on Foxsports-SW, channel 5416....... Of course I am in California and can't get it that way, blacked out, but it will be on ESPN as well.....

Cool. What about Saturday and Sunday's game? (sorry, I'm at work). When I looked those games up earlier this week they both show as SD.

If it goes like the college football season you will probably have to wait till Friday to see what games are updated to the HD RSN slots for the weekend. Right now none of them are showing any programming listings for the weekend.

great we get rangers/red sox on fri. onFoxsports-SW. guess that qualifes Foxsports-SW as an hd channel and makes the add(HD RSNS on DISH) true. sorry, i was confused.

The Dish guide doesn't usually update to reflect which games will be in HD until a day or two before. So you have to check back regularly. I think when all is said in done, you'll find that the vast majority of your games will be shown in HD.

Damn..I must be getting punished!! I checked the guide earlier this week because I set a timer for Friday's HD game on CSN-BA (5419) but today's guide shows Friday's game WS Champs Giants against their hated ravel...the Dodgers in SD only!! It must have got changed today. It was the only game of the four game series on local TV...the others are on national TV (ESPN/FOX).

My other local baseball team (A's) has their homer opener that night, but leave it to Dish to treat both local teams both the same. Both games will only be seen SD in Norther California on E*.

Bingo, clear one transponder on the WA is all that's needed. Or clear about 6-7 HD movies at night as needed. Friday and Sunday nights no need perhaps cause there are fewer games. The transponders are available for sports HD on the EA now. Two transponders equals 12-14 games covered in HD. The biggest cities could be 24/7 RSN's in HD as well.
C'mon DISH, why wait another year...
