I have what may be simple and dumb question. I just moved into a new home and am trying to set up my dtv. Here is what I have, SL5 mounted and cable ran. When I hooke up the lnb to a multiswitch I can get signal in tuner 1 but it keeps searching in tuner 2? I have ran the sat set up in menu and it keeps telling me no signal in tuner 2. It shows signal in 101, even in 110, and bith in 119. I have an HR22-100 reciever I am trying to hook up.

What am I doing wrong??? I am a pretty handy guy and hate to have to pay someone to do this if I don't have to.

Thank--Mike:sick:

If your a current D* sub, the Movers Connection will set it all up and bring the correct dish for FREE.

That said, we need more info:
What dish are you using and what recvrs ?
SWM or Non SWM dish ?
How many coax lines are coming out of the LNB ?

I am a subscriber but they want 50 bucks and a couple weeks. The 50 bucks is ok, but I am a tight wad, it's the 2 weeks I don't want to wait on.
I have a slimline 5, I say that becuse I have 4 coax lines, that may be a wrong assumption. Not sure how to tell if it is SWM or non SWM, but based on what I have seen I believe it to be a non SWM. I am trying to hook up a HR22-100 HDDVR receiver.

I have the lnb ran to a zinwell 4x8 then I Have a bbc on the receiver itself. Hope this is enough info, thanks for your help!!

OK, if you have 4 lines coming out of the LNB, it's a Non SWM, run the 4 lines down to a Ground block, run the wires you need into the HR21 (2 coax lines). Do NOT use the 4x8 switch, thats not compatible with the Slimline dish.
Plug in the recvr and boot up.
See what your signal strength is if you don't have picture.

Like Jimbo said, don't use that multiswitch, and make sure to connect the bbcs, one on each input.
