OMG! The all time biggest cornball TV show, EVER is coming to MeTV.

I just saw an ad for Batman and it said "Coming Soon".. :)

I remember Dad sneaking to watch this show when I was little, mom hated it and forbid it on our set. Sometimes I would sneak to watch too when they introduced Batgirl. I sooooo wanted a Batgirl outfit but they never sold them. I guess it was a bit spicy for the times, little girls shouldn't be looking like that back then..

I don't know but I see Star Trek clips played in the MeTV promos very frequently. So I would guess they have the rights to air them and probably will sooner or later. That's another old cornball show that if it's on, I'll watch it. I won't get the popcorn out or have a hissy if I miss it though.

Captain Kirk and his :drama: is too funny!

(BAM!)(POW!!!) Robin: Slippery banana's Batman! (BAM!) Batman: Thank you,(SWOOSH!!) Robin, I couldn't have (POW!) done it (BAM!!) without you. (lifted from the script for season 2, episode 5.) ROFLOL Too corny, even when I was a kid.
be getting Star Trek - -?
Some day,(wishful thinking)Some day, TREK will come. (Stolen and then smashed lyrics- Snow White & 7 D's)

ASK, and ye shall receive...

THREE for the price of, none!

I saw the 1960s Adam West Batman movie for the first time at a local cinema recently, and it took me completely by surprise. I didn't know Batman was supposed to be campy! The Batman I grew up with was dark and serious...

The rubber shark was really too much ;) ...

Batman was very corny but i did watch it growing up.Lost in space and star trek i had to be home to see, Still a trekee and wouldnt mind a good laugh watching lost in space again.

I like Lost in Space too. It's even more cornball than Batman. Dr. Smith is a world class scoundrel, he's so easy to hate! :)

Lost in Space is one that I will make an effort to watch if it doesn't conflict with something else.
Star Trek, if it's on, I'll watch it but I won't go out of my way to do so. Batman, the same.
None of them will I bother to record though.

I do love me some corny TV & movies, BAD acting, corny props, ill fitting rubber masks, monkeys with BAD wigs, and NO computer generated effects. :)

Personally, I think that MeTV adding these shows is a real stab in the heart at RTV. Affiliates are going to drop and switch like crazy.
I'm afraid of MeTV becoming a giant in classic television though, then they will want to become part of the mainstream and sign on with Dish & Direct then they'll scramble and we'll lose them..

Eventually they'll get bought up by some greedy corporation who'll banish all the good stuff and replace it all with reality shows.

Nothing lasts forever.

Enjoy it while you can.. :)

As an actor, you weren't anybody until you were a guest villan on Batman. LOL The show was(is) a lot of fun. I have the series on my hard drive and of course everything StarTrek. The Lost in Space series was corney but as I remembered it was better than what was on the other channel.

I was so Into Batman when I was a kid..Got a cape and mask and everything..It was just a really fun show. I remember the big buildup in late 1965 on ABC..Batman Is Coming!!

MeTV is really pulling out all the stops programming wise..With Antenna TV, RTV really has got its work cut out for them..It seems they should really go "Retro"..There's a lot of shows that arent shown anywhere..Some never in Syndication even..

Here's a smaller network, on in just a few cities..HOT-TV (History Of Television)..This is where I think RTV ought to go..Or something similar..

SCHEDULE -HOT TV Network

Thanks Me-TV.

The first season of "Lost In Space" was the best, and I'm looking forward to it. Also the "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" series was great. I was thinking about buying the DVDs. Back when ALTV was still on they and Irwin Allen Thursday night with "Time Tunnel" and "Land of the Giants" also. I recorded many episodes.

I remember those shows. I was little but back then my dad was in his 20's so he was really into those shows back then.

As Campy as the show was, it really didn't start out that way. The first few shows they did I liked . The two part show with the Riddler called Hi Diddle Riddle and Smack in the Middle. Also The Joker is Wild and Batman is Riled were great as well. I love the show. It was almost picked up for a forth season but the network destroyed the set and NBC was going to pick it up . They found out about the set and didn't want to pay to rebuild it again. Check out this PSA some of the original cast did in the 1970's . That's not Adam West . It's Dick Gautier, best known for playing Hymie the robot on Get Smart. Batgirl is complaining about not being getting equal pay but she was late to work. (Just kidding)

We still don't get equal pay... :(

I know. But again. Batgirl was late to work so she didn't deserve it. (Just kidding) My wife makes more then me. About $19,000 more then me. I think it's changed a bit today.

Well, things are getting better. Slowly. It's still an uphill battle and getting equal or better pay is not the norm but the exception.
Maybe one day...

:)
