Service Restored to 129 Satellite!

Bet somebody is wishing they had not wasted the last 3 years doing nothing about converting the WA to all MPEG4 8PSK receivers. Now they have lost a bird and have few options if they can't recover it. They will be able to recover the Conus HD elsewhere in the WA but the spot beam capacity is going to be hard to recover.
Gone in New Mexico. HD's kapoote. Read a rumor that a "reseller told me (the guy reporting) the satellite was struck by a meteor and has been destroyed". That's going out there to sensationalize things. Satellite knok-out and sine 129 was never in proper orbit - I'm shocked it hasn't fallen from the heavens. Just for fun - I'm blamin' Obama and Pelosi. That Jobs Plan burned out sensitive "no lie" circuits in the poor old satellites electronics!

I kept thinking in the back of my mind recently that this was going to happen, levels on 129 had been a few points down in the last few weeks (usally check everyday to see if it moved) tried to repeak to the levels I had a few months ago and to no avil did it help (by the way I have nothing blocking my line of sight. But did anyone else think this was going to happen soon ?
PS: If its not up tomorrow morning, all be repointing 129 to 61.5 and 72 for the time being (Separate dishs of course)

Move the' highlight bar' to the up and down arrows to change which satellite you are on and it will tell you all the important transponders signal strengths.'
This is how us techs get credit for hooking up phone or broadband and whether or not we have signal fails.
Mine reads 0 on all 4 transponders on 129 that rhe reciever checks.
I am getting a signal as of 1:20am eastern time, from tp21, lower then normal, able am now able to watch 9901 from 129 but as of now there are no other transponders that are back, it appears to be going well for dish so far!! GOOD LUCK DISH TECHNICIANS!!
Edit: Signal levels are way lower then normal on TP21 normally got 75-77 on it but not getting more then 48-54 at this current time 1:32am eastern time

Yea, but point dish routine is showing the signals received from tp 19 and 21 are form 129 West Echo Star.
Currently more are being put to the test (assuming) signal levels are not stable moving from 48-54 on tp21, other tp's that are up are 16,17,18,19,21,
Signal levels just shot up on tp21 getting the 76-77 I had a earlier this month, everything should be back online shortly for dish it appears (this calls for a beer when the problem is solved of course)
Most satellites already in a parked geosynchronous orbit usually do not have a one time sudden catastrophic failure. There are usually a series of events or failures over a period of time. Dish Network 129W signals are received from a relatively young satellite named Ceil 2 which is a commercial broadcast communications satellite owned by the Ciel Satellite Group headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They are partnered with satellite operator SES S.A. Because of stock holders and other investors these groups may be reluctant to share the current health or status of their satellites. As I related earlier I believe this failure was due to an orientation issue with the bird, not a one time catastrophic failure.
