Anyone know about the 4000 range of channels? I help out at a local community access station and they have a commercial account with Dish. Free Speech TV is on 9415 for me and was for them up until a couple of days ago. They have a commercial Dish account. I called Dish and they sent me to 4379 and bingo! I have no 4000 series channels on my 922 at home. Are channel mappings different for commercial accounts?

From what I can see, there's no difference. I know in some cases they are, but it would be channels 1-99 on the TV itself (I think). However, our commercial department would be better able to answer this question for you. I do show that on residential accounts, Free Speech is available on both 9415 and 4379.

If you PM me, I can give you a phone number for commercial services

After checking and not knowing your location it looks as though the two systems are on opposite archs.

My home system is a full western arc: 110, 119, 129, HD (ViP 922).

The other system is a Dish 500: 110, 119 SD only. I think the receiver is a 310.

Could be the difference is HD vs SD.

Matt can correct me if I'm wrong but the 4000 listings were warning channels to get customers to call in for an upgrade to a full arch. I was with dish for a very long time and can tell you once upon a time most commercial accounts were set up on 119, 110 and 61.5. Again not saying that is definitely the issue but maybe.

Some of them were, but not all (that I'm aware of). Commercial accounts are the one thing I don't know much about

Not all 4000 range channels are warning channels. In PR...we have our HD channels in 4000 range with map downs. I think in AK, HA & VI also have 4000 range HD channels.

I saw sometime ago that Dish put some Intl channels in 6000 range as warning channels.
