I currently have a WS International WS1870 180cm stationary dish and want to motorize it.

Questions:
1) Is the polar mount available separately without purchasing the WS1870P dish with the polar mount since I already have the dish?
2) Would you recommend I purchase the Vbox 10?
3) Is the Powermax PMA24 actuator any good?

I thought these items would be good to add to my Christmas list this year.

2) Would you recommend I purchase the Vbox 10?

If you are interested in a GBOX, Sadoun has them on Ebay for $29.50 plus $15.54 shipping. There are people here happy with the VBOX and some that are happy with the GBOX! The VBOX is also on Ebay for $30.99 and free shipping.

Sadoun has the polar mount for your dish. Look at the roof mounts and tripod section at the Sadoun site.

How much was the shipping for your purchase??
The $15.54 seems a little steep to me!
They ship lnbfs for $5.15 but I think the GBOX is heavier.

1. The two models are totally different. They were made using two totally different presses. I'm not sure if a polar mount from a WS1870P, or from a different manufacturer would be compatible (mounting wise) with the the WS1870 or not, without some modifications. I'm not trying to push the sale of a new dish, but for only $69+shipping for the entire dish and polar mount it is probably cheaper just to get the WS1870P instead of purchasing just the polar mount for the WS1870, specially since we can ship it with UPS and it's considered as an "Oversize2" package, so the shipping is not very expensive.

2. We have sold the VBox-X for a few years now and have had a very low failure rate on them. So, I'd recommend you check out some of the comments on the VBox-X right here on SatelliteGuys and see what people who have used it have to say about it.

3. Yes. Same as #2 on this product. The PMA24 is a nice and strong actuator. We now also have the PMA18, which is an 18" actuator and it's good to push the WS1870P. I actually have not had a chance to even put the PMA18 up on the websites yet, but we do have them in stock at both locations. You can see more information, a video, and comments about the PMA24 actuator by clicking here.

Good luck with what you are trying to do.... Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

i got a Vbox-X From Galaxy-Marketing worked 1 week and quit passing video thru it so i tried using it just as a mover
and it locks up and powers of a lot.

Robby i live 50 miles north of the Marietta store. i tried doing a exchange on a KU lnb a couple months ago and was told you do not do
direct exchanges anymore you have to send the item off and see what is wrong with it first!

Babadem, the GBox sale on eBay is a Thanksgiving special will be back up to normal price soon. Only a few units listed at this price. We've sold them all, this is the best mover on the market hands down.

Yes, we have moved our RMA and technical portion of our business to the CA branch. So after filling out the RA request form on our site, it would need to be sent to our CA branch for testing to ensure the unit is defective before replacing or fixing. You'd be surprised how much products we get back that are supposedly defective according to the normal end-user and when we receive it, it's basically a wrong setting, or a simple mistake on the customers end. Keep in mind however that almost all of that is from a regular end-user who does not have any satellite experience, and not the installers and/or hobbyist who are familiar with the system.

Anyway, go ahead and fill out the RA request form and make sure to put on there attention Robby and I'll be in touch with you by email and get this resolved for you ASAP.
