Dish's site

You are now able to compare up to four packages on our site. There is a little white box that can be selected in the top right hand corner of each package. Near the right center of the bottom of the screen a "Compare selected packages" button will appear and this will allow you to see what you will lose or gain when changing packages.
Thanks, Raymond. I missed that.

I may have missed it, but I don't see the 'compare packages' list. I liked that feature in the old site. It was convenient to figure out what you would lose or gain if you switched packages.

Thanks for your comment. We Still have a way to compare up to 4 packages. From DISH Satellite TV Packages From $19.99. Ask About HD Free For Life., hover on "Entertainment," then click on "Find Your Package." There is a comparison checkbox in each package selection, in the upper right hand corner. When checked, this activates a popup in the lower right corner to click when you're ready to compare eselected packages. I hope this helps you adjust to the new look and feel.

Thanks, Lou. I like that HD is also shown on the comparisons.

No in the past when there have been channel listings mistakes and I notified them the channels were removed from the page in a matter of minutes. This time when I told them they only thanked me for checking out the new site.

You got to read between the lines there I guess... or perhaps I am reading too far between the lines.

Hopefully it will be fixed or the HD channels will be added, it would not be good for new subs to see HD for those channels and find out there not, I doubt a new customer would ask over the phone If these channels are really in HD?

All of these that they don't carry in HD (yet) are listed on this page DISH - Entertainment - Channels
  • ABC Family HD
  • Encore West HD
  • Fox Movie Channel HD
  • Disney East HD
  • Disney West HD
  • DisneyXD HD
  • HBO2 West HD
  • TMC West HD
  • TMC Xtra West HD
  • TV Land HD
I also notice HBO Zone HD is missing from the above list but is listed on the specific HBO page here Get HBO Channel on DISH for Great Movies, TV Series & PPV Events

Also the Cinemax page is showing MoreMax as available in HD Get CINEMAX on DISH for Action Movies and Original TV Series
dont forget movie channel west!!!

Where is that?

Start first at the dish.com main page. Hover over the ENTERTAINMENT icon (top middle) then select the FIND YOUR PACKAGE option. Each package will show up (three across) and will change to RED as you mouse over them. Each package will have a small white check box to select on top right. Select the WELCOME PACKAGE, FAMILY PACKAGE, and any other if you want.

Once your packages are selected, click the COMPARE SELECTED icon on the bottom left hand side of screen.

I checked all the new HDSKD channels added to this weeks uplink. ALL of them are showing the "Check back often to see if your favorite team is playing in HD screen." No sign of the Disney ABC HD channels which are listed on the DISH website.

The only suggestion I would make for the package comparison tool is for there to be an additional checkbox on the left to only display differences between selected packages.

Anyone else notice that Epix is missing from the HD lineup as well as HD Net, ID, and all of the BBMP stuff.

Those are listed on the Blockbuster@Home page...

I know only about 12 people will care but the San Diego Padres are getting their own FoxSD so I can finally forget about cable to see baseball. The cable company had built a nice HD broadcast center at the ball park and local news say Fox is in negotiations to acquire the facilities.

Did I miss it or does their website no longer list the specs (inputs, outputs, etc.) for their receivers and a picture of the back panel?
