That doesn't prove they don't, though I agree that it seems likely based on the lack of comments that they probably don't. Again though, it's not "proof".

Well guys I didn't really find out too much new info about the Hopper today. We mostly went over the changes with the new promotion and talked about the new internet offering from Viasat. It sounds like all the real info will be on the next retailer chat in about 2 weeks. Should know availability and pricing then.

They are treating this no different than the 522/722/922. They are giving you two tv's included. Since this now requires an extra piece of hardware maybe they could give a $4 discount if you don't need the first Joey? They probably don't have much in those Joey's, maybe $30? Of course, thats $30 (or whatever it is they have in them) that they didn't have in the 522/722/922 for the additional tv's. That $4 per month will make up for that quickly though.

The problem is not $4 extra. My reply was to the one....where the poster told that 1st Joey can be $7 also....resulting in $11 increase in the bill for feeding 2 tvs vs say 722k

If you only have one TV then normally a customer would not need 3 tuners. If the customer really feels they need 3 tuners then I suppose they should be willing to pay a little more for it regardless if you are only using it for one TV.

Thanks for passing that on. For the most part, it's the most concrete thing that's been posted about the HJ lately.

BTW, what do people think of making "HJ" the "official" forum abbreviation for the Hopper/Joey system? It's definitely easier than typing h-o-p-p-e-r-/-j-o-e-y s-y-s-t-e-m.

Either that or HoJo.

Of course it's easier, what with all those dashes in there. ;) :D

HoJo reminds me of that hotel chain.

Hell it was a restaurant chain, often found in rest areas on toll roads long before it was a hotel chain.....
