Right now, I have a 722k and a 922k. I am able to stream aka download simultaneously movies on both TVs connected to the 722k. Works great, can be slow at times and has had the occasional buffering. I just want to make sure the software is available in a couple weeks when its finally released.

The Joey Ethernet connection is for future use, it is not active now. A single connection to the Hopper will be used throughout the H & Js.

Satellite to Duo node.
Prior to hopper integration:
Duo node to Tap.
Tap feeds one side to Hopper and feeds a splitter to 2 Joeys on the other side.
Repeat Tap for "other" H/J grouping.
After hopper integration:
Duo node feeds to Hoppers.
MoCA network feeds to Joeys.

Assuming that Dish will in fact update the Hoppers to see each other shortly after release, is there any reason to go with a 1 Hopper, 2 Joey setup over a 2 Hopper, 1 Joey setup?
The only reason I can think of is the avoidance of future fees (since I wouldn't be surprised to see an increase on the 2nd Hopper), but am I missing something else?

True, but that is a small price to pay for 3 more tuners.
In a multiple Hopper setup, can the Joey see both Hoppers seamlessly? I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Does the Joey see the recordings from both Hoppers as if it is one seamless system, or can it only see one Hopper at a time?
At release the Hoppers won't be seamlessly integrated and will appear as two separate units. Dish has stated that a software upgrade will be available in the future that provides seamless integration.

The joey can be paired with one hopper at first. After they come up with seemless integration it will see both hoppers as one big unit. To quote the instruction manual that I got online:

Well, we'll know soon. Sure we have early adopters here who would love to test it out and report.
but the real question is - does the Hooper and Joey combo solve world peace?
