I'd say create a new one for the New Year.New thread or keep this one?
Got it, the midgets are racing all week I think.I'd say create a new one for the New Year.

The following week is the Rolex 24. Former VP racing series racer, Samantha Tan is graduating to the Michelin Pilot Challenge, racing in tandem with Random Vandals Racing which is reintroducing a car in that series after skipping a year. The Michelin Pilot Challenge has one of their four hour events the day before the 24. I look forward to seeing the other 4-hr event at Mid-Ohio. Tan has done respectably in the lower series, which provide trophies a bit easier due to lower numbers of entries in classes. She'll be getting truly tested with notably larger fields in the Pilot Challenge.
Peacock is great for IMSA. You get the qualifying and racing. IMSA is big on sharing on Youtube as well. I have found simple immersion is enough to follow along. Indycar is on Fox now, but Fox does get their practice and qualifying online at YouTube rather quickly too, so if you "cut the cord" you'll be fine. I think watching the practices and qualifying is very helpful because that provides the immersion to start following along, as well as giving a bigger on track feel experience. All of that sounds interesting, but unless I start reading random blogs or something or am already a big fan of all of those things you mentioned, how would I even begin to keep up with all of that? Googling around, looks like there is/was a Road to Indy series but it's dead. Maybe I'll give that a try. Anything else you recommend? Looks like some of their races are on Youtube, are they always there?
My brain is just useless it seems. I have no idea how I spotted an 88 on the car with a large 35 on it! My apologies to Zilisch. Herbst was the problem. Oi!The Daytona how awful will it end this time 500 came and went. An earlier start time to help keep rain out of the race worked out in the end. Ending of the race lived up to the NASCAR standard, quite stupid.
First bunch of cars get spun out, but we race to the checker now. Elliot is assured the win until apparently Reddick put in a can of Liquid Swartz and had about 100 more horsepower and wrapped around the competition from third to first. Thankfully that pass wasn't for nothing. Another set of spins for the leaders up front as the cars get to the check flag.
Alleged great drive Connor Zilisch appeared to help cause both of these incidents. Dude finished 2nd in the Rolex 24 in the GTP class. What the heck happened to that guy?!
They thought the military parade ripped up the streets...But this seems rushed and rushing a race can have consequences.
The Formula change may promote passing as the teams figure out what techniques work best with the increased emphasis on "Push to Pass" and energy harvesting. DRL is gone, but using up you energy to execute a pass may leave the driver vulnerable to being re-passed when they are down on power afterwards.F1 on IMAX sounds nice, but I doubt that IMAX can save me from my lack of interest in the lack of passing series.
