The following week is the Rolex 24. Former VP racing series racer, Samantha Tan is graduating to the Michelin Pilot Challenge, racing in tandem with Random Vandals Racing which is reintroducing a car in that series after skipping a year. The Michelin Pilot Challenge has one of their four hour events the day before the 24. I look forward to seeing the other 4-hr event at Mid-Ohio. Tan has done respectably in the lower series, which provide trophies a bit easier due to lower numbers of entries in classes. She'll be getting truly tested with notably larger fields in the Pilot Challenge.
Peacock is great for IMSA. You get the qualifying and racing. IMSA is big on sharing on Youtube as well. I have found simple immersion is enough to follow along. Indycar is on Fox now, but Fox does get their practice and qualifying online at YouTube rather quickly too, so if you "cut the cord" you'll be fine. I think watching the practices and qualifying is very helpful because that provides the immersion to start following along, as well as giving a bigger on track feel experience. All of that sounds interesting, but unless I start reading random blogs or something or am already a big fan of all of those things you mentioned, how would I even begin to keep up with all of that? Googling around, looks like there is/was a Road to Indy series but it's dead. Maybe I'll give that a try. Anything else you recommend? Looks like some of their races are on Youtube, are they always there?
