Hopper news updates

DVR service $10, HD solo receiver $10, $5 TV2 receiver connection. I currently run the 922 and a 612.

I don't understand how they can be charging you for the TV2 fee. That fee has been long gone. Some people's fees stayed but yours should have changed once you upgraded to the 922.

If I were you I would upgrade to 2 Hoppers and 1 Joey. Monthly fees should be $10 DVR/Whole-Home and $14 in additional outlet fees.

I see the $99 Joey fee. Didn't someone publish that there is an increase to $149?

When Hoppers are able to talk to each other...they dont have to be next to or near each other do they???

If allowed and I get 2 hoppers and 1 Joey... I would put one in the living room and one in the bedroom

Thanks in advance

Scott if they give us the 1st Joey, $0, with the Hopper it could cost $20 for 2 Hoppers and a Joey each, right?

1st hopper
DVR fee $6
WHFEE $4
1st Joey $0

2nd Hopper
DVR fee $6
WHfee $4
Joey $0

Perhaps this is why they won't give up the 1st Joey for free.

Or if they charge the $7 extra hopper fee, well then it becomes $27 without charging for the Joey's.

Moe

You are charged a DVR and WH only once per account/site. So the second hopper fee would be $7 not $10.

Actual fees would be:

DVR Fee $6
WH Fee $4
1st Hopper Free
1st Joey $7
2nd Hopper $7
2nd Joey $7

Total Fees $31.

The Hoppers need to be within what, 1 or 2 hundred feet of each other?

Talked to Dish: $10 off my bill for 12 months, free preimum movie channels for 3 months, and No BLockbuster fees for 3 months.

I would be happy with the $10 off for a year. It has been 14 months since I got the 922, and for the most part I have been happy with it.

Ok so if I have 4 TV's to feed it wouldn't cost anymore to run 2 hoppers/1 joey each, than 1 hopper/3 joey's? I don't care at this time whether or not the hoppers communicate.

Thats why Dish doesn't give the joey's free with a hopper. If they did I would only pay $7 extra for the extra hopper.

DVR Fee $6
WH Fee $4
1st Hopper Free
1st Joey $0
2nd Hopper $7
2nd Joey $0

Total Fees $17.

Wouldn't we all like that!

upfront cost of $100 for each hopper whereas the joeys are free (for existing customers)

True, but also 6 tuners to share across 4 sets instead of 3 tuners across 4 sets.

i think domestic tranquillity is worth the $100 upfront myself.

Oh you mean like when she just went to watch the recorded Bachlorette and I some how did't record the whole thing, I think a basketball game got in the way?

Yep, $100 can be pretty small sometimes.

Now if I could just get the eastern feeds like I use to have.
