Just got 6 months for $25 from XM

I decided that it was a good deal and I am now a proud listener of XM.

That basically becomes the going rate when you call in to cancel, and in reality that is all it is worth. 5-6 years ago, when there were no advertisements on the programs, I could see the rationale of higher subscription rates. Right now it is basically commercial based private interest radio programing. Oh, I enjoy it, but I could live without if need be, and use my tunein radio app on my iphone to find me the programing I want for free.

With the cellphones nowdays capable of streaming music at higher quality than satellite radio. Not to mention free!!! I have a feeling XM's days are numbered!!

I just called and was offered the 50% off for a year. In June I reactivated a radio for 6 mo for $25, couldn't pass up the good deal. My contention has been that XM is overpriced and 50% off is the right amount for pay radio. When they stop offering it I will cancel for real.

I have been an XM subscriber for years, and suddenly my radio started acting up (not holding the signal). I called to cancel, and was told that if I remained a customer, they'd send me a new radio for free. I accepted, but after several weeks, no radio. I called them back, and they said sorry, that radio was no longer available, but they had a similar one I could buy for only $99. I told them to forget it, I wanted to cancel and the guy basically said, "OK, you're cancelled, the balance will be refunded within a week." It was refunded, but I was really shocked that they didn't try ANYTHING to keep a 7+ year customer happy or at least try to get me not to cancel. No wonder their days are numbered!

You'll probably be getting a letter soon with the 5 months for $25 offer to come back. Or you could call them and ask for it.

I am getting letters and even on air announcements to renew the subscription for the car. I bought it in April so i think this isa bit early . I will likely wait for the reduced price. I was an XM fan for the sports but this car has sirius and without MLB it just is not worth that much to me.

Well I got six months for $29.94. Even though I got two letters offering me this price they made me speak to a supervisor to get the deal and it was sort of like running the gauntlet but that is about the right price if you ask me.

Are folks having any luck with this after the six months is up. Or will I likely have to pay full price (Or higher than $29.94 for six months)?

My trial expired in my new car. I called and said I was interested in the Premier package. They offered me 5 months of Premier for a total of $32.44. I took it.

If you don't call before the promotion ends, they will charge you full price. I usually call 3 to 4 days prior and say I want to cancel. They ask why and I say too expensive. They counter with either the 5 month promotion or the year for $85.

I am considering just paying for caching with Slacker. it would requirea bit more work than just casually turning on Sirius but I can tailor the stations so they are more enjoyable.

OF course if Ic ould get MLB on Sirius that would change things completely.
